As a trans boy, this song makes me cry my eyes out every time I listen to it. I'm barely 18, know I'm trans for the past 3 years or so. I never really fit in with the girls, though I loved dolls and such. It always amazed me how free I felt playing and talking with "da boyz" instead of sitting and talking about nails and make up with the girls. I started to portait myself as male characters on instagram, soon enough finding out that I don't feel hapy with myself. As covid started and I got isolated from my friends, I began to research things and people that are trans, to see their story. Then it hit me. I'm a boy. My friends took it amazing, began calling me by my chosen name and trying their best to make me comfortable. I needed and still need to hide who I am infront of my father, though I did slip up a few times. He proceeded to yell at me and mix me with dirt, making me feel 'scared as f*ck'. My mother knows, but she doesn't care. I really wish they at least tried to understand. I know not many people will read it, maybe even reply just to say "who asked" or smth. I don't care. I just wanted to share a bit of me here. Yungblud, thank you for this song.
