This song gives me soo much feels especially when covid just started. My boyfriend broke up with me and I had this song on repeat. Funny how this song also helped me move on now. Honestly this song deserves so much more. Personally, this is one of my fav songs.

This song is supposed to be hateful but by the way zayn sang it, it’s almost as if it’s a love song. He sang it so soft, mellow, and beautifully that it’s almost as if he’s saying the lyrics “I’m ashamed for you” “When you need me the most, I will turn you down” like how he would say “I love you” to a person. HE IS THAT GOOD!!! MY BABY DESERVES THE WORLD. NOW, THAT IS AN ARTIST. HE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO GO SOLO (even though I’m a 1D superfan, he’s always been my bias and I know in my heart back then he’ll do more amazing things)

Just listening again to this song, I realise it is a masterpiece. I think it talks especially about people that are very egocentric and egoistic in a relationship and seek their first wellbeing before the relationship’s. You can only take as much as you take, even if you truly love someone a lot. You are taken for granted so many times, that you hold so much grudge in you that at some point you begin to hate. You are not sure what is it that you hate. You hate yourself the most, because you suffer because you accepted a lot of boundaries breakings. You are so angry that people take you as being the demon the devil the one that fucked up. Sadly, no matter what you do good or bad it comes back to you in a bad form.

So no one’s gonna comment about how aesthetic it is when he said that line “favorite entertainer” or is it just me ?
