This video just makes you realize how much importance you have to put on structure anatomy, let's be honest many of us sometimes want to draw from our minds, trying to lie ourselves by thinking "I can skip some steps and still is gonna look awesome". But just by seeing this, and how much great these drawings look, and weeing how much focus he puts in the body structure even before drawing any details is just eye opening, more kind of a reminder I would admit.

This is unreal. He has 3 stages, the mock-up structure on a separate paper, redraw, and then ink. I have to make a mock-up, redraw, roughly add in clothes and features, lightly erase the rough, redraw over in a finer pencil, ink with fine pen and check work, and then re-ink to add depth and line weight. He has confidence because he is very familiar with the stages. I can tell you’ve already got the determination and hard work down, now break down everything into fundamentals and reconstruct basics. @kamikazeeeeee103
@kamikazeeeeee103 4 роки тому
@@ezekielvalmocena3743 The best way I've learned was getting into multiple art styles. I'm not really sure if this is factual, but cross-hatching art style propelled my understanding of art, after 4 months of doing cross hatching I've tried to get into realistic sketches, and boy did cross-hatching taught me how to shade. It was honestly interesting that all art styles seems to have the same basic principles, just executed in a different way.
@___xyz___
@___xyz___ 4 роки тому
@@ezekielvalmocena3743 You wanna learn to draw casually. Multiple art styles is a good suggestion because it keeps drawing interesting. In the end, you might just wanna keep drawing interesting enough to keep doing it regularly until you've got the fundamentals of proportion and perspective and technique like straight lines down comfortably. Eventually (and it may not even take so long) you'll notice just by drawing casually that you've developed a natural intuition for where things are supposed to go and how to make them look a certain way. The only thing holding you back then is your imagination. But yeah, well, I'm not a graphical artist. I draw a lot in my spare time, so take it for what it's worth. Proportion used to be a huge problem for me. I couldn't get things where I wanted them. Meticulously used a ruler to measure up everything and it always turned out crooked and wrong. I just kept trying to draw different things in different ways. Mostly unintentionally to make use of my boredom, I always keep a pencil and sketchbook with me. Drawing becomes a habit, sort of like a fidget spinner, to have something to do when my mind is drifting. Most of the time I'm not even concentrating on the drawing, but it's come to turn out great anyway.

I know right? I'm 32, when I was in high school until early college I drew manga style. Not really good but I was getting somewhere at least. Back then I always believed if I kept on practicing and learning, I would be better. But college demanded me to focus on my major so much more (I was on medicine faculty so I didn't really have much time to focus on my drawing), my parents didn't support me getting into art AT ALL. My friends always said, "meh, it's not like you'll become a cartoonist someday". That kinda hurt me and eventually I stopped drawing. Now everytime I saw a tablet I bought 13 years ago, I feel kinda sad. I'm sad because I wish I didn't stop. I wish I believed more in myself and kept practicing. Now that I'm 32, I already have a job and have relatively more time to myself, I want to start drawing again. But how late is too late? It goes to show with every minute, miniscule detail this piece of art comes together like a piece of a puzzle. As an artist you have Inspired thousands of novice, average, and professional artists. I never realized the significance of meticulousness when it comes to art. You have enlightened me the importance, with every individual detail and stroke your pen you made your Imagination piece together this amazing piece of work. Just wanted to commend you for putting so much work and effort into your work, although you make it look easy. 😄

This is great. Thank you for posting the video in real time so I can try to draw along with you. So many art channels just fast forward through the actual drawing part that it becomes entertainment under the disguise of education and I find that very frustrating. With this, if I want to just watch I can up the speed to 2x or just leave it alone so I can draw along. Thank you

the process that you take for drawing is seriously amazing. by drawing the structure of the body on a separate piece of paper and then copying it onto your sketchbook really lets you practice drawing bodies more and it helps to get the anatomy correct. you're really good a drawing :)

As a man who can't draw to save my life, I just wanna say some people just work with magic. Like, this to my eyes is just actually incomprehensible. I don't what is going on, what happened, what are the steps, boom he's done drawing. It just blows my mind everytime I see artwork of any kind. People always say "Everyone can draw", but unfortunately, that is not very true. Some of us have dead hands and we really can't draw well. I've tried many a times, I've failed many a times, I've kept going still. 4 years of practice, and I can still just barely draw a stick figure. Seeing this stuff though I am envious, I am infinitely impressed by the talents, if not, skill that a lot of people have. If you are trying to learn to draw, please, no matter how bad you think you're doing, keep trying. Even though I practice twice a week, for around 4 years now, I can still barely draw shite, but I've still kept pushing. Good luck, everyone!

well it depends on HOW and WHAT you're drawing,if you draw something and just pass to another thing without thinking of what's wrong with your drawing, that's gonna be useless,in fact,post thinking it's the most important stage in a drawing,because that's what makes you that level up that you dream. and drawing the same things over and over isn't good either,you gotta focus,understand the depth,the shape,the way the object interacts with the enviroment and such. just keep pushing,but make sure you use your brain,not you're feelings :)

I think this really helped me a lot. I've been looking for videos of real time sketching or practicing like this just to see how other people's processes are so I can piece things together until my, "oh!" moment comes around. of course, I practice (without it there's not much point) but having a visual and a good idea of what I'm practicing and doing really helped me. although I see all sorts of drawing references on pinterest or just on google, I don't get to see the process and even if I do on yt it's usually speeded up. this real time practice was perfect for me to study and understand. thank you so much!
