Thanks for this TLDR. Discovered LadyBaby years ago with Nippon Manju. Loved the concept but quickly forgot about them as not much happened afterwards. Last weekend I bumped into their album 'Reburn' and absolutely love it. Sadly it seems to be only a short-lived story. Let's see what the future will hold.

@@Didijkv вам кажется. они могли бы неплохо развиться, ибо у них даже был концерт в Америке (у первого поколения), но компания всë просрала... потом было второе поколение айдол группы (которая тоже ориентировалась на рок/металл), а теперь новое поколение, которое теперь полностью ушло в j-pop

Fuka wasn't interested 😟 Not 100% sure if she was even contacted… In her defense I think she's still at University (Fuka didn't get in on her 1st try _and_ was just 21 when this vid posted).

Some bands are like that. Look at Fleetwood Mac. The band was formed in 1967. The original members come and go and come back. This rock band band has had 43 members over time. Like a classical orchestra, members come and go, but very few accuse new hires of not earning the band's fame.

@@Lungdog Ladybaby 3.0 had to earn it when Rie recruited three new girls (Nana, Emily, and Fuka), and it worked beautifully. As someone who has been a fan from the start but wasn't super attached to Ladybeard, I think 3.0 was the best lineup and put out some serious bangers. The new quintet (yes, FIVE) has a lot to live up to!

@@kimmy2623 Emily joined PassCode after their original screamer Yuna retired due to failing health. Nana is still doing fashion stuff plus is in an Idol group I've not heard of. Rie finally reconciled with Rei and they're performing together again. Fuka _I think_ is attending university. So yes they're all busy with their own stuff…

Isn't Babybeard sort of a nothing though? They've released like only 2 songs since it started and nothing else.

@@SkyExplosion they are doing gigs overseas. Going to Chile soon. They went to Brazil and Austria last year. They have more songs but no MV for them yet.

Original LADYBABY worked not only because of the presence of Ladybear as the WOW factor but the chemistry the two girls Rei and Rie had, their ero-model previous history, and there were rumors they were lovers. Also Rei had this deep voice, she actually was/is in a rock band with her sister and plays the guitar. Just a lot of little details that left you hooked to the band and their music. It was a fucking great formula, i already checked Babybeard content but the greatness and boldness of original LADYBABY just can't be recreated. REIRIE now have their own proyect going on. It would be nice if they both did a collaboration though.

Babymetal es una banda god. Ladybaby fue un experimento wenardo que inicio con Ladybear un luchador australiano y dos minitas Rie y Rei. Ladybear dejó la banda por problemas con su visa. Despues intentaron seguir las minitas solas. Después Rei dejó la banda. La última quedó sola y le sumaron otras tres minitas al grupo para q siga generando plata la empresa pero el concepto original murió. Despues el grupo en general murió. Al parecer ahora la empresa está haciendo audiciones para nuevos miembros para arrancar de cero un grupo nuevo pero con el mismo nombre aprovechando la fama del nombre del grupo muerto.
