What a lot of people fail to remember was the Rafa Benitez who is a well know tactician had this same exact Madrid team and didn’t do well and got sacked by January, we have to give a little more credit to Zidane, and the way he was able to rotate both the A and B team in the 2016/17 season was outstanding and using Isco in the CL final that season was very interesting as well not mention in the rebuild season when Zidane came back in his second season during the rebuild he won the league

The biggest worry for me with Zidane is if we were a year or two into the project and suddenly the France job becomes available does he pull a hansi flick and abruptly leave and then we’re back to square one. English fans that are getting so excited about Zidane know nothing about coaching and managing. Ineos are creating a structure for a head coach that gives the structure, tactics and freedom within a system for players to thrive. Zidane gave Madrid team confidence and reassurance with for their elite characters to play expressive football from the dressing room and sidelines. But he would struggle to give confidence to players with no consistency because his expectations are elite consistency. In 5 years, when we have rebuilt a stronger squad would thrive. But no time soon.
