Back in 1972, I was 7 years old. I was riding a bicycle without a helmet. I went over the handlebars of that bike. Not nearly the force these guys are dealing with, but I was dean for some amount of time before being brought back. It completely wiped all of my memories from before the accident. My memories are all of me holding a picture and adults telling me stories. There is also a timeframe of 3 days, weeks, or??? that is completely black in my memory. I still at basically 60 years of age suffer from the TBI (traumatic brain injury). This is NO joke! We didn't really have helmets back then, but you all have no excuse! I am lucky to be here to tell this story, you might not be, or worse left in a state where you are unable to function as an adult. Please adopt helmets the cluster headaches I deal with feel like someone who is stabbing an ice pick through my head.
