Everyone saying the rabbit R1 should have just been an app are really missing the point. You can run AI apps already on your phone. Creating a device that opens new markets is a smart move. Seems tech reviewers are just not aware of users needs beyond their bubbles and have never worked with disadvantaged people or in harsh environments. Guess that's why they never really bother to review tech for elderly or disabled. I work with elderly, disabled and illiterate people and the r1 design has life changing potential. Smartphones are a very poor choice for those folks, the ever more complex UI, delicate hardware and cost makes them a tech barrier. I can think of many industries where a R1 like design with its single button and scroll wheel is a far better focused hardware choice over a Swiss army knife design of smartphones. There are museums and other tourism areas that are looking at things like the r1 as a game changer.. it's cheap and vastly easier to use, able to be used by any age or education level. That's not true of a smartphone.. at all.

Idk what reviews want. When phones start cooking you breakfast, then it's "It can only scramble the eggs and and its already the year 20xx". Like what do more could you want?

I normally really like your guys' reviews but you guys needed to re-do this one. The SQ CPUs are Not replacements for Intel chips so they should be be reviewed like they are. This is an ARM device and ARM has its limitations for demanding software and this isn't what this device is being purchased for. Only noob-device users will be using Chrome on an ARM device btw. A lot of ppl don't use it in powerful desktops anymore....

a lot of these facts aren't really facts but we appreciate the attempt.

Every single one of the reviewers all tell you to upgrade the ram.....ALL of them. When you read reviews from normal laptop users(Best Buy) they love it with the base ram and have no issues. The Reviewers are working on $6000 laptops that are beasts. to them these feel like tricycles. I'm using a i5 iMac with 8 gigs of ram. I'm not giving apple 200.00 for a 34.00 stick of ram.

The redesign that came with the M2/M3 is arguably worse than the M1. Build quality feels less solid, keyboard has less travel, superior top firing speakers were removed and then they added useless rubber feat that let the machine slide about all over the place. I couldn't care about minor chip updates, they need to make a better laptop first.

What actually killed not just the product but imo the company is "Rabbit OS” being revelead to be nothing but AOSP, because of course the company who thought it was a good idea to release a standalone device that can only do 4 things doesn’t employ people smart enough to actually build a legitimate operating system. Not only is the R1 useless, I’m convinced this company’s being run by idiots. I’m also convinced this “Large Action Model” thing only lives in the CEO’s head right now, and what the R1 is doing with Uber, Spotify and DoorDash is 100% procedural, working alongside the LLMs it integrates with. Complete trash, not to mention ChatGPT + Google Lens completely blow this thing out of the water. And the battery life is godawful. There’s absolutely no reason to purchase this thing, like, ever. Honestly, all the issues they’re facing with software and hardware won’t be easy to get around. You can’t make significant improvements to “Rabbit OS” without upgrading the device’s hardware, and you can’t update the hardware without releasing a new device. At the same time, they’re competing against Google who has AI features baked into their smartphones already, and Apple who will follow in Google’s footsteps and will give Siri AI super-powers this year. By the time the R2 comes out either next year or in 2026, Google and Apple will be running laps around this company. RIP Rabbit.

Yes nothing has matched the smartphone and you can just use apps like open Ai or Pi Ai on your smartphone. The Ai devices out now are so half backed 😂 good video.

I am quite flabbergasted that those companies are not taking their time to properly cook the idea (wait for a perfect engineered hardware design) before realising their products to the consumers. They are under-delivering on what they say the product can do. It's like everything is halfway done, you get what they are trying to do but the service quality is poor or it is riddle with defect. They need to wait until the product reach perfection or close enough for practical use. 😎💯💪🏿👍🏿

I saw this come up in my feed and its way over priced. You could buy an ipad and a keyboard on sale for $350 & just not sign in to anything or shut off notifications, or even put it in dnd or make a writing focus mode. It would be so much better than whatever this is & cheaper. You dont need a $500+ device that looks like a Hasbro toy.

I bought it then sent it back. 99% of everybody talks about the exterior screen but I couldn't give a flyimg f about that because I don't buy a phone with a big screen just so I can look at the little tiny screen on the outside.... I think people are getting paid to talk about the exterior screen because I guess Motorola thinks that's all it has going for it. The interior display is too skinny, not enough ram, awful camera and terrible battery.... I think that they're paid to focus on the exterior screen because maybe that is the best part of it but if that's all you're looking for then play with your little outside display....
