Loved the Last Duel. This one is crap. Joaquim is too old to play Napoleon. He was 26 when he met the 32 year old Josephine. He was 30 when he became first consul. He was 35 when he became emperor and he was 46 at Waterloo. There was next to nothing accurate in his battle sequences.

I watched the film earlier today and came out pleasantly surprised, although as an avid student of Bonaparte, I did find many errors and exclusions. Despite them, RIdley Scott dazzles once again, and it is after all a motion picture, not a history lesson, although it is important to get most of the history right and the context. Personally I would have liked to have seen more accurate and substantial coverage of Moscow and Waterloo, and the peninsular war which was oddly left out, as well as the kidnapping and execution of The Duke D'anghien. Marshal Ney was almost completely missing (he was instrumental in the retreat of Russia, and bravely, but erroneously led the massive cavalry charges at Waterloo against the British infantry squares. And where was Marshal Murat, Napoleon's brother in law and famed peacock cavalry commander who assisted in the whiff of grapeshot episode vs the Paris mob, was in Egypt and very instrumental at the battle of Austerlitz. Although the film is not about them, they were very important in Napoleon's career. I am glad Ridley chose to include the French African (Jamaican) general Alexander Dumas who excelled in the Italian and Egyptian campaigns. I would compare this film to Ridley's Robin Hood in military scope, and the opening battle scene of Gladiator. But I could go on, I hope viewers give this movie a fair shot, but stay away if you have no interest in Napoleonic history or military history in general, because you will dislike it for all the wrong reasons.

I liked the prequel very much, the actors are great, the costumes, the production design are great too. I was not disappointed in the least, if you are into the Hunger Games franchise, I think you will enjoy Songbirds and Snakes too.

I didn't know this was coming out but suddenly saw it online and got so hyped! Was very enjoyable, really really loved the vibes of the opening scene and the narration. It did feel like a few too many random statistics that weren't related, like mc donalds burgers sold a month lol but still enjoyed it a lot

You being confused as to why Katniss has ptsd is insane to me. Even before the games it would make sense for her to have ptsd because of all that she had already been through and after the games would only escalate that. Even if she hadn't killed a single person the ptsd would still be very severe she is a child that was put in a high terror situation where she witnessed many other children slaughtering eachother. An then for you to say that she seem fine in the rest of the films is rediculous. Just because she wasn't shown to hve vivid hallucinations doesn't mean it wasn't clear that she was still dealing with the trauma lf what happened and is happening. And Peeta did technical kill someone in the first film. Foxface, the ginger girl died because of the nightshade berries he was collecting. And the quarter quell wasn't just about old people killing youmger people is was the VICTORS killing eachother. Each person had already killed and won. Thats the difference. And in mocking jay, peeta and the rest did not get out because of plot armour. You said you watched this twice ao you must just be bad at paying attention. They got out because Snow basically let them. Because of what had been done to Peeta, the brainwashing to kill Katniss. He basically let them bring an assassin into their base.
