How do you find Chrome Tour ball durability on the course? I love these balls but they dont wear well on the course vs. Other options. That said, I will keep playing them as I got a bunch on the 4:3 sale.
@Station2Station-du2gh3 дні тому
I have this VC + 2024 shaft in my driver and 3w. I'm coming from the previous iteration. I see zero difference whatsoever - ball speed or otherwise. But that's ok. It's still great. The color is not as nice. 2 reasons. Callaway paid Fuji to match the color to their AI Smoke trim and sold the initial batch to them, delaying sales to other OEM's. Also because it matches the Diamond S+ from a few years ago.. It doesn't look premium anymore. I don't know what driver AJ is playing but the sound is horrific. We'd not include him in our foursome if we had to hear that all day.

If I’m 6’4” and my current set is 1” longer. Would a one length set be standard 7 iron length? I’m struggling to work out if and why I’d need an extra inch - the Cobra standard 7 iron is about the same length as my 8 iron which is very appealing.

Recently I was fit for the TNT Power Range shafts in my driver, 15 degree 3 wood set at +1.5 and 5 hybrid. Tried the Nitro as well, but my best fit was the Power Range. Fit into 18 LO for Driver, 17 HI for 3 wood, and 17 LO for 5 hybrid. My highest swing speed with driver in the fitting was 104 MPH. My average was 101. These shafts feel extremely stable. My dispersion improved with all three clubs and I gained some distance. The contact on the face with all three clubs was extremely consistent and centered. The shafts they replaced are Diamana ZF 60S in driver, Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7S in 3 wood and Fujikura Fuel HY 85 Stiff in the 5 hybrid. All of the parameters for driver were within the Trackman optimizer windows. The 18 LO is also playing 1 inch shorter than the Diamana ZF. Has improved my fairways hit from 53% to 71%. These shafts are Frickin’ Awesome!

The PX looked to spin just a little more... and dispersion, and distance control were not as good as the DG. I don't see any performance gains with PX here at all. The only reason to choose PX here would be if you wanted a more boardy feel.

I Owned 223's with LZ 6.0, always felt "off" and loose in the start of the swing. Then owned Apex 21 pro's with S400, great feeling but a little heavy feeling after 18 holes. Tried some Ping i230 and wanted to try lighter shafts DG105 , Love the heads hate the shafts. Sold the Apex's, changed the shafts in the 223's to PX 6.0 and have better dispersion but not as much pop. Then PXG fitter had me try 317t with DG115mid, felt good but wasn't sold on the numbers I was seeing (felt a bit fast). Then a Titleist fitter put me into T150 with PX 5.5, then Mizuno shaft analyzer put me into KBS 120 S (SS1), and NSPro 120x, out of them all the 120x felt stable with speed. I've put the NSP 120x in my 223 and it felt decent at the range but not sure I should change all the shafts. I have a fitting scheduled with The Tour Van on May 1st, maybe those guys can finally figure out what works best for me.
@LegacyAirTech18 днів тому
I hate to be that guy, but if you went to 4+ fittings then tried 7 different shafts as a result and none of them felt quite right - either all of those fitters suck and had you in the wrong weight/stiffness/torque category…or the “feel” issue isn’t due to the shafts but rather the only constant between all of those switches^
@maamold18 днів тому
@@LegacyAirTech I have been changing my swing to a more rotary so my feels are changing. The Mizuno shaft fitting was the best and I've known the fitter from when I first started (although Mizuno does not use a ball measurement device). I've heard a lot about The Tour Van as he has fit Pro's Mcilory, Molinari, Duval, Foley...etc. So I decided that he'll know what's up and what is the best.

Golf is so subjective but it’s hilarious that you call a tensei smooth and stable when it’s one of the stiffest handles in the business and is the antithesis of smooth feeling 😂 especially in the TX. As for speeder TR red it’s the stiffest handle they make.

I play one length. Cobra ltdx irons . I have only been playing 1.5 years. Learning to swing was pretty quick for me. Once you get your P wedge down you also have your 9,8,7,6,5,4. My first rounds were 120-130 when I first learned to golf. Within one year I was shooting 90s and even broke 90 4 times with my best score being 86. These irons accelerated my learning curve and got me to more consistent faster. As a weekend warrior player I’m super happy with shooting low 90s and love the ease of one length irons

I was thinking about a two length set. Lob wedge to 8 iron at the length of a PW. The 7 iron to 4 iron to the length of a 7 iron. Reasoning would be to bring the spin in the wedges down a bit.
@Natedoc808День тому
I keep one traditonally short 56* wedge in my bag but I hit the King F7 One lengths to try the concept for myself and love them. Shaved 13 strokes off my handicap and now shooting 86-92 regularly. Feels weird at first with the 9, PW, and Gap wedges but trust the club and it simply works great. I just ordered the Forged Tec One lengths to continue down this road.

Least deviation from center line should have determined it and by that standard I do not see how the Aerojet was not the clear winner. That Ping dispersion is going to get you in trouble far more often with the extreme lefts.
