This is a disaster. It surely bombed at the box office. The script sucked and the plot didn't utilize or explore the conflict between mother and daughter "involved" with the same man very effectively. Lamar was a mess and the daughter was too old to be playing the part of a college girl.

I came here to watch this great movie again after hearing the news that a young american soldier Aaron Bushnell set himself in fire while shouting: “I will no longer be complicit in genocide.” He did not shout "i dont want to die" , he shouted "i dont want to kill"... as sad as it is, IT MUST OPEN A SOCIAL POLITICAL DEBATE where americans start to ask the right questions and investigate all wars that USA was involved in since Vietnam war, through Iraq war, Afghanistan war, Ukraine war, Gaza war... for what reason exactly all the soldiers who killed and got killed in these wars that USA DID NOT WIN. Watch @50.00. the great dialogue between the father and his son about how to put an end to messy conflicts and for good. They talked about the war II but could apply to any conflicts. BE THE GENERATION WHO ASKS THE RIGHT QUESTIONS AND PERSISTS UNTIL GETTING THE TRUE ANSWERS. DO NOT DRAG A MESS TO ANOTHER GENERATION. SOLVE IT NOW. .

Ah, the sweet golden age of Hollywood❣ Claudette Colbert, Orson Welles, George Brent, and sweet, young and very talented Natalie Wood, and a drama that left me in tears and very optimistic.
