indeed, 3,55 m will limit you at certain canals...

I am not sure about the dimensions of the A6, but I guess the airdraft is way to high... 3.50 m of the A4 is really the max.

the trawler gives us more living-space within the same length. As parttime live onboards that is important to us. I still think the Elling is grest value for money..

So - after waiting nearly one year we got our E4 in July 2022. I'm living on it since then and it turned aout as fine. Since you answered me, that you have more living space with the same length on your Steeler I changed a lot of things together with Anton on my Elling. Only one bathroom, no chairs next to the television but six big drawers instead. No chair in the guest cabin but lots of cupboards. We built it without the guest cabin on starbord side, instead of this there is a fairly big storage room with big cupboards and a countertop. Now there is absoluteley enough space in the ship. maintenance is no prohlem at all. All arts that need maintenance can be reached by hatches. I had a problem once, trying to recover pieces of the impeller of the generator from its cooling system.But managed in the end.

kruissnelheid is 7 a 8 kn. Met de Elling vaarden we dat ook. Snel varen is niet comfortabel en gaat snel vervelen zeker als je naar de verbruikmeter kijkt....

Hi, I did not have one and did not miss it. offcourse it will be more comfortable, but in my experience after a day or so, you are used to the ship´s movement. Offcourse the Elling being light it will be a bit wobbly at sea....

@@pacoblanco9969 yes ! Yes quite ! but seakeeper especially helps to have stability at mealtime or a good night at anchor if swell .. I have a question! why Elling why not (dutchbuilt) van der heijden or wim van der valk or other!?

@@wingedmonkeys548 because Elling is a private company, the ships get built through neptune shipyards in the netherlands. The companys you mention are family owned and have their own shipyards. Elling is pure dutch ( The netherlands made ) the directors name is Anton

@@pacoblanco9969 Hi...yes, the Chinese and Vikings were here before Columbus, way before Columbus. Either way it does not matter, because none of them discovered America as it was already populated thousands and thousands of years before any of those people showed up. Is that your Elling E-4, or did you just deliver it to the owners? It's a beautiful boat. The E-6 is my ultimate favourite, though.

@@MetismanInBC It was my own boat. Offcourse the E6 is a very nice ship, but a diffrent class alltogether...

@@pacoblanco9969 The E-6 is an awesome boat, but in all honesty the E-4 would be the boat for me and my family. Much more suited to exploring the many bays and coves around the west coast of Canada and into southern Alaska, while being large enough that we aren't bumping into each other all the time. I am sure you will have many exciting times aboard your E-4. I'm totally jealous...lol.
