Looks also like the roadway is crowned as well. They miss on the sides and hit on the high center if they just get skimmed. There are apps that you can program to keep you from using low overpasses. They cost money but I'm thinking they pay for themselves instantly. I've got a camper and even when I've parked camper and I'm still driving the truck (which is a very rare occurrence each year) I still have the overhead radar sonar paranoia going. This is a design issue. There will always be that 1% of bad drivers out there but much can be done about the design. The turn is actually too gentle where speeding drivers think they can glide through and they do. The road exit is quite wide as well giving that impression of safety, it feels like there’s more room to go fast after the turn.
