I can't believe Valhalla made a billion...

Ubisoft is a quality potato chip with no flavoring. If they just put a little more effort in, they'd have great products because the framework has been laid well. Instead, they make games for everyone (aka, games that don't focus on being good at anything). For awhile, people will mindlessly chomp away at them, and they might even come back to them, but it's not something you'll remember. They're just...there. Oh, and it's even more frustrating because they used to have chips that had flavor, but they just stopped making them for some reason. Now they only bring them out on rare occasions.

I have to thank you so much for making this video I first got it recommended to me about a week after I beat Hotline Miami 2, and suddenly found a hole in my free time, a scratch I couldn’t catch Then I watched the first 20 minutes of this video. It was so good I’ve been playing it for the past 2 months trying to get Sober and Achieving the Impossible. It’s a beautiful game that’s made me extremely happy.

i thinks its unfair to say FC6 is just more far cry, because it isnt really. I think they tried to "evolve" the formula but it turned out to be huge wasted potential from certain mechanics (not being able to pick up enemy weapons was devastating to me) to a half baked story (El Este chapter was great, those music kids were not, ending was.....). I had a great time playing, over 100 hours, but ive never spent so much time playing a game I enjoying complaining about how much better it could have been

I wanted to love hellblade but the flat puzzles, lack of player control and lackluster story made for a game where only the audio/visual was good, didnt make for a fun video game

Growing up some of my fondest memories were playing on Halo CE PC multiplayer servers... in 2010-12, when Halo Reach was popular. Similarly to what you said about Red Orchestra 2, not every server would be filled up, but that never really mattered. If the servers were still up nowadays i'd probably still play. MCC just isnt the same.

This is one of those games where i do agree with all the criticisms, yet i still love it, and the whole serię is sth i revisit from time to time. There are no single player tps games like this anymore.

I want to love AC games but the historical revisionism and uninteresting gameplay was just enough to bore me with the idea. If i learn about a character who was this drunken hobo in history but then see him walking around having otherworldly knowledge then I just know that they didn't make it historically accurate, they made it based around what the writers wrote in a fanfiction. The guy you first meet in AC4 Stede Bonnet he was actually a really good pirate, he knew more than his mates and went down with honor, but if you saw him in AC4 you'd just know him as a cowardly merchant who tucked tail the second anyone intimidating showed up. To put it simply, I don't want to play a game that's based around historical stuff and have the characters be riddled with millennial writing, I want a guy from 1400 talk like he's from the 1400's, not someone who sounds like they came from a marvel movie. You can make certain characters evil if you want, but if you make someone this political figure head that just spouts your 2024 political opinions in a game set 100's of years ago then that sucks, and unfortunately for us ubisoft is just the latter now.

Ubisoft at their best was when they offered £500,000 to help rebuild the burnt down Notre Dame Cathedral in France. They give away Asssassin’s Creed free copy for a time so people could see what the Cathedral used to look like and now the same scan of the cathedral in their game is in Discovery Tour for everyone to appreciate the architecture for free. In fact, I remember hearing that the scan of the building is so well done that architecture are using said scan to help them rebuild the Cathedral. That’s amazing. Then you hear that Ubisoft got in hot water (pun intended) with Skull and Bones and now their new Star Wars game pricing is atrociously high that gatekeep missions if you only pay for the base game, and now they are removing old game like the Crew from paid customers’s account? It is like Ubisoft make one big leap and then flops two backflips in a row.
