This is great. I box exactly like the brawler in sparring. I have very short reach and sometimes will have to eat a few shots to get inside.

As a 16 year old amateur, I got to spar a 36 year old veteran pro- I was confident that my speed and mobility would be enough and I threw a ton of punches- what was crazy to me is the he rolled almost everything I threw- and the last minute of every round he would use footwork to pin me against the ropes and lay into me- definitely taught me a lesson that there’s a difference between a good amateur and a good pro

Being the brwaler is the way harder part. If you fight someone much bigger you typically have to be the brawler otherwise you are not landing any shots. Except the skill difference is big and the taller person has way worse skills. You much eat way more punches and keep pressuring. I find it very unpleasing to fight way bigger guys, while being the bigger guy in fights is usually chilled
