Thanks for your question. This was filmed in a part of Victoria called East Gippsland. There are quite a lot of ski resorts in Victoria so it is a good place to head to if you want to enjoy winter sports here!
@clementtytubeМісяць тому
@@thesmalltimecottage oh wow I know Gippsland is just an amazing place on earth... I live here in Aus as well, in Emerald Victoria. And I heard from some folks here that it suddenly snows during Christmas time and Emerald has had it a few many times all of a sudden. But none can predict that. I moved in here as a permanent resident only a few months back. I know that the Vic high country region receives thick snow during winters. But is it possible to see snow right now around here??....like in some mountain ski resorts in or around Vic?. I mean like kind of left out snow from previous winters? Do you have any experience of such things.
@thesmalltimecottageМісяць тому
I do have experience of that as it happens @clementtytube. I climbed Mount Kosciuszko - over the border in NSW - in January 2023 (just after Christmas and summer here) and there was quite a lot of snow up there. You can see it in this video - ukposts.info/have/v-deo/hIFpaoqsqXyTtJ8.htmlsi=FYd-qkThOZojRyRd. There wouldn't have been enough to ski but there was more than I imagined there would be. I don't know if it's possible to see snow here now though. I suppose it all depends on the weather. Summer 2022/2023 was not an especially hot one and I'm sure that helped. Some resorts, like Mount Buller, have live webcams so you can see what the snow is like before you go there - ukposts.info/have/v-deo/aH-liqKde6Bj2Gw.html. I've enjoyed going to Mount Saint Gwinear - www.parks.vic.gov.au/places-to-see/parks/baw-baw-national-park/attractions/mount-st-gwinear - because it's free!

How are they not fighting!? 😂 When I feed the cockatoos at home they always fight over the food/seeds. 😂😭

I’m pretty sure that’s what happened shortly after I stopped filming 😹

With all those bloody Cockatoos, the Rosellas and King Parrots don’t stand a chance!

I think Australia and Papua New Guinea share the most beautiful birds in the world, oh can't forget the wild flowers.

I really wanted to film a Fairy Wren too but they were too fast! The males look amazing at this time of year.

Yes, the darning mushroom is carved out of melaleuca, which is tea-tree. I’d recommend turning it on a lathe but I don’t own a lathe so I carved it

Love the woods there . Hello from Atlanta
@thesmalltimecottage10 місяців тому
Hi Chris! Thanks for your lovely comment. I love the woods here too. They are very different to those I’m used to in the UK but they have a harsh beauty that I enjoy. It’s lovely living in this glade surrounded by trees!

❤ I can't believe 75 people have gone to the trouble of at least clicking on this film; even if most of you clicked back off again almost immediately 😂. I consider 30 views to be a good week so this is very much appreciated 🥰

I loved your peaceful tour of the property. Since we're headed into winter from autumn (I'm in the USA), it's enjoyable to see your world springing to life!

Dad says your cold frame top is upside down. Put the hinges at the top and at the bottom put a piece of wood like a car bonnet. When you lift the top up move the wood up so it keeps the top open. Just like a car bonet.
@thesmalltimecottageРік тому
It was much simpler and faster keeping the hinges in situ; it works just fine this way round! In order to keep the lid open I've attached a clip to the handle which attaches the lid to the fence behind it. Wait 'till you see it finished!
@lynnbaker7018Рік тому
I like the choice of plants. Any inspiration taken from you visit to the UK? Dad's garden in particular.
@thesmalltimecottageРік тому
Absolutely! Just wish I could find that double pink hardy geranium; that's a lovely flower.

Its great to see nature rejuvenating. Loved both pieces of art work not surprised it sold! I share your hair battle, try using a heavy conditioner, don't fully rinse it out and only wash your hair once a week.
