I love this movie and tomorrow war 2 I'd finally out I did not actually watch it in 2022-2023

This was not as charming, funny, and cute like the first film. Like James said, it really was “ambitious” to create a film of 2D animation colliding with the real world (New York of all states 😍). It was so neat and mind blowing. Everyone was such a joy to watch, and the casting of each character was perfect. Robert’s character, who was witty and realistic [in the 2007 film], could have been a hit or miss, but Patrick really sold the character and the lines. Luckily, he had ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ airing at the time, so he was the perfect heartthrob character in the [2007] film. That all being said, the storyline in this sequel wasn’t terrible, however, I just feel that some parts of the film fell flat. Boring at times too. Also, there was not enough Nancy and Edward! (Did anyone catch the ‘Wicked’ and ‘Hairspray’ Broadway posters in Times Square in the first film??) The songs in this sequel were not memorable either. You need at least one memorable song. In the first film it was “True Love’s Kiss”, but there was no memorable one here in the sequel. The writers should have written something better with Morgan alone, first of all, and with her and Giselle’s stepmother/stepdaughter storyline. Why did they not give her a passion - art, music (MUSIC), writing, etc.? A desire in going to college? She had no personality. The writers just rolled with the typical stereotype of a teenager who hates her life and has no friends storyline. As for her and Giselle, there was potential to break the all-stepmothers-are-evil stereotype in Disney films, but it wasn’t seized. I wasn’t sold on their storyline either. I have so many more comments, but I’ll end my long comment here. I give this film a 6/10.

Good to hear “Come and See”, directed by Klimov, being namechecked. It’s the finest, most frightening war film ever made.

Fallout is far and away the best screen adaptation of a video game I've seen so far. Not only did it do the games justice, but it's a great show in it's own right. Well done to everybody involved! Really looking forward to another season.

Best part was when I didn’t watch it and watched the 1989 original again instead.

For movies about modern conflict on American soil, the original Red Dawn and Olympus has Fallen will always be the best. Plenty of backstory, great casts, believable plots, and intense action. While the overall scenario for this movie is indeed plausible, the execution of it could have been done much better IMO and there are a lot of plot holes that the movie doesn't even try to fill in.

It's a really strong movie - both from a storytelling perspective as well as the set pieces. I'm quite a fan of Olympus has Fallen and that kind of "huge siege" scenario movie and I thought those were done really well. It also hits you hard, because a lot of this is possible - would the US government bomb their own citizens to save Washington DC and The White House? Yes, very likely. If a well armed militia would attack Washington, all rules of engagement would go out of the window.

I admire the approach to choreography and stunts because you want to make the fight scenes look authentic as possible. Hollywood have finally caught up to Hong Kong action cinema where they would employ a similar methodology of shooting fight scenes. Using pads and editing juxtapositions to make the effect look seamless and the contact look real. It’s done with excellence in this movie. It’s the movie’s selling point. I was wondering how did Gylenhall tank a direct headbutt from Conor because it’s directly in shot, no hiding his face no stunt man and now I know. That’s so cool.
