No rest for the wicked seems like a pretty interesting game with some weird quirks. The resource management/gathering doesn't seem fun to me especially with the real time building. Might check it out once it fully releases in 1.0.

I'm playing Last Hero of Nostalgaia right now based on this guy's video. Once I got into it I really started loving it. I got through the main game and have just started the Blighttown DLC.

I think it bears mentioning that Moon Studios (No Rest for the Wicked) have been reported to have a terrible work culture, with ridiculous crunch and tons of offensive behavior from the founders.

What I dont understand about No Rest for the Wicked is why they decided to make farming so boring. If you can carry giant swords or cast spells that just explode enemies, why is mining and chopping trees so slow??

Wait, so No Rest for the Wicked has no respawning enemies. But if you die you still respawn at the last bonfire, but with full health. So what's the point of the bonfire mechanic and the walkback then? And they put in the durability system in there to stop you from abusing the health recovery. Why just not have a traditional checkpoint or quicksave system at that point? Am I missing something here?

Yah most important thing in slay the minotaur is the speed upgrade for sure. Then upgrades to attack and special equipment. (Also fall damage cancel is great)

I had an idea for a soulslike: Just a normal soulslike and etc, but thanks to a pact from some devil you can turn the game combat mechanic into a devil may cry style, but with a cost of decreasing permanently your life total: if you use it too much the game will be much harder. And you have just one life.

My favorite part about these videos, aside from the gameplay obviously, is when the developers share how genuinely excited they are to see their games getting highlighted. It helps that some almost aim to be mentioned by you, but it's very uplifting to see the positivity here.

Its a shame no rest for the wicked has so many problems because the game looks so beautiful

I don't remember seeing Pineapple try it out so I'd recommend a game called "There Is No Light" I don't see anyone ever talk about it but I had a blast playing it, it's a pixel art, top down rpg with souls-like elements in it and I think if people like that it would be great to check out :)

Hey dude! Love the content as always, whole video is awesome. IMHO I think it would have been a good idea to do No Rest for the Wicked as a separate video, mainly because of length more than anything. It represents like 40 minutes of the two hour video. I don't think you need to be 100% loyal to the format of listing off a bunch of different games in succession, and that you should do a video on a single game every now and then if the game warrants that time and attention, or if you have a lot to say about it. Just a thought, love these videos!

I'm glad you mentioned the magic controls for the new Lords of the Fallen. I hope that is something more souls games implement, along with how they did duel wielding.

Bro I know Slay the Minotaur is janky and I can't tell you how many times I said "I hate this game" but kept going... but for some reason I can't help but just keep going back to it every now and then for a couple of quick runs. Also legitimately the hardest and most bullshit enemy in the game to me is the gorons

That first game reminds me of the dump truck vehicle from blast corps. You had to power slide to destroy buildings/cars

1:03:54 i guess they are going for fluid switching between attacks like in Thymesia, only in Thymesia it is done better. Shadows: Heretic KIngdoms/Awakening also had similar system, but also better because the world changed for one of the characters.
