Omori might be the best game ever made

Bought the game like 2 days ago, marathoned the hell out of it to get the main endings. Man. I'm not normally very emotional, but bittersweet stuff like this just give me a lump in my throat to the point where it hurts. As an observer, even if it weren't for spirit Mari, seeing Sunny's dream world projection of Mari being endlessly supportive and unconditionally caring, seeing his memories with her filled with so much mutual love... it feels absurd to suggest that there would even exist a universe where Mari wouldn't forgive him for the accident. Idk. That's about all the thoughts I've managed to formulate into words so far. I need to touch some grass.
