Thank you for posting this. A flashback to the 90s, when I lived on Maui, working in the activity buisness. I got on a lot of complimentary tours back then and I had two seats set up on the Maui Nui, a 40foot V hull speed boat. They did snorkeling and other tours. Because of high surf and bad visibility at the usual spots, the captain asked the 8 Guests if they were feeling adventureous ;) So we did a spur of the moment tour that took us across the chanel from Maui to Molokai, around Halawa Valley, along the highest seacliffs in the world, thru a cave with a waterfall coming thru a hole in the ceiling, to the bay with the two cinder cliffs (5.08 - 5.26). We snorkelled there, visibilty was awesome, had lunch and went back the same way. On the way back, our captain pointed to a place up on a cliff. Since then, I have not forgotten about this place. THE most remote home I have seen in Hawaii. No Road or path leads there. Boat and helicopter only. Actually, the boat they have gets hooked on a winch and towed airborn over the rocks to its garage about 100 feet above sealevel. I have made many attempts to find out about the owner, its history or something, but this place is as secretive and fascinating to me as it was some 30 years ago when I first saw it. You can spot the house and yard ( 6.02- 6.12) on the bottom left of the screen. I went around the backside of Molokai many other times with helicopters, but the boat ride that day was a treat that I will never forget.
