I think the most exciting part is that people from different countries can share opinions together.

Thank you for the video! I am glad you are here with another important message. And the fact that you make less videos, is a proof that you keep social media at a distance, and that's very good in itself. I try the same. Thanks again! Stay happy and healthy. ☺️

Great video. I’m currently watching this in what I term my ‘internet downtime hours’ between 6pm and 9pm. Between these times I have access to all social media. At all other times, I only have access to LinkedIn. I use a DNS service to enforce these rules. This is the only thing that works for me. Limits of say 40 minutes a day on UKposts never worked for me, because there was still the option of blowing through most of these minutes late at night, after waking up or during time I was supposed to be doing other tasks. It’s so important to protect your time as you say.

Yes completely agree with you Social media is doing more harm than any good we escape our everyday life for momentary artificial pleasure

Spot on! Balancing the benefits of social media with the challenges of the attention economy is crucial. Staying intentional about how we engage can help create healthier digital habits. 🌐

Reading books is better for remembering and building concepts. Not the case for me, i am a visual learner and i find it easy to learn doing practical work and seeing how things work. Like for example learning how to drive a car, learning how fix things, breaking things up and building them from strach. And programming is similar to that. The point is everyone has grown up with different environments and it shapes you.

There's something so singular about the peace you feel when reading a book on a train with breathtaking views. I read babel on a train in an attempt to reach Barcelona from Seville and I felt that my worries were flushed away so quick.

I can feel some Cal Newport's wibes in this video, so glad to see that so many young people are realising that a step back from social media is needed!

I caught myself scrolling on social media while watching your video. My ability to focus on one specific thing for an extended period of time has greatly reduced. My brain is constantly looking for that next quick hit of dopamine that social media has conditioned into me. I need to ditch social media and reclaim my life

@eleanorhenderson989610 днів тому
100% to this!!! It’s degrading the rest of our lives by taking up time we should be doing other things. However, what we watch is extremely important. Yes, you might be watching positive content but we know that the algorithm shows your things that are controversial. That you’re likely to interact with etc. Teens get shown more extremist things. We get shown things that make us angry so we interact etc. the algorithm is designed to be bad for us. It’s also degrading our attention span - it’s not jsut taking time away from other things like sleeping, but we actually have less ability to pay attention over longer periods of time. Please read the book Stolen Focus by Johann Hari! It’s amazing

Você é uma inspiração pra mim. Tenho boas sensações quando assisto seus videos. Gosto das suas postagens pontuais. Do “minimalismo” do seu instagram. Das reflexões que você traz, mas acima de tudo, do exemplo que você da. Você me parece viver o que você fala. Obrigada pelo video. Decidi hoje usar as redes sociais apenas um dia no mês. Não tenho duvidas que isso me fará bem. Até uma próxima.
