Is this a missed opportunity? As a first-generation M3P owner, I was expecting more differentiation and exclusivity from this new release. The performance improvements seem marginal at best-it's only slightly faster and quicker, which hardly feels like an upgrade from the previous version. The sport seats are a nice touch, though. I'm undecided about upgrading to the new model or returning to BMW. I plan to test drive it before making any decision on a purchase.

I wish we could get some AI model updates in Europe as well. In Europe the performance of auto pilot is still pretty poor, and cannot compete with the level 2 systems from the competition. I say this as a model 3 owner and Tesla share holster.

Investor view: if you invest in a strategic portfolio which everyone should do, and do not live on the edge of day trading, you invest in growth and dividend. Growth is innovation driven. Pure dividend is margin and scale driven. It is good to have a mix, as everyone knows. Also it is good to invest in businesses you also have an understanding off, the more the better. If you don’t , then leave your portfolio management to your banker. Now for growth stocks, if you don’t want to bet your savings and wish for some minimum security you go for high innovation rate stocks of base size. The key is innovation rate potential. The highest rate these decades is AI and everything that drives it and is driven by it. Certainly the global CO2 doctrine is driving electrical cars. This is a ideological-legal driver, as no one really can predict future climate and the impact of CO2 on global warming. So then you look around who is driving breakneck speed innovation and has the means and experience to turn innovation into productivity and earnings. And then you understand the unique position that Tesla has. You look at IBM and Intel and then at the mundane sectors and soon the options are dwindling rapidly. There are only a few companies which drive transformative change and reap the respective benefits. Tesla is one of a very, very few. And Tesla is the only company that pursues three complementary innovation dimensions in parallel. First, Electrical cars which will be enforced by all governments in industrialized countries for political reasons at least and for the sheer fact that too much transformative has already taken place, too much money already invested. Second and third AI in two firms: Autonomous Driving and Optimus/Robots. Compare this to Google, Amazon and Apple innovation rates and you will see the difference. Google, Amazon, Apple and Microsoft are 66% scale and 33% innovation driven. Tesla is 70% innovation and 30% scales driven. Of course innovation is what you scale, but you will notice that the first small investment series for start ups all are made for innovation. The big chunks of investments later on are all into scaling production and sales. Often by a factor 5-10:1. Which actually is horrible, as what you scale-is often of miserable quality. It is easy sell a stock, it is super hard to buy the right one. The brutal fact is, that there are not many companies who can deliver on massive transformative innovation, and when you own one you should only sell when you need your money or when you spot an even better one with a better Performance/Risk ratio. For me Tesla has still a sound decade of profitable growth in them at least. Companies life cycles, once the have som maturity are measured in decades not years.
