Very interesting! I knew about a german monocycle called "Flyrad". Maybe, the skeleton of the vehicle could be changed by an air tank. The efficiency could augmented with the use of a heat interchanger and a phase changed material (probably paraffin). Additionally, I think it Is possible to create an hybrid "Flyrad", using supercapacitors in the aceleration and regenerative breaking. No lithium! No cobaltium!

There was plenty of comments sugesting to flip it upside down. I though exactly about the same thing. Instead of trying to do it your way, you should put it upside down. The reason: If the coanda effect creates negative preasure due to attachment of the gas/fluid next to the curved surface, when you fill it upside down, it might create negative air presure above the empty 'fruit bowl' and therefore push, or rather pull, the whole thing to the new up.

why not just change the engine parts so they are lower (in hover mode) so when they rotate the center of mass stays in the middle of the joint

Hey-you have the design wrong-you have to put the magnets at a 45° angle and diagnal on a cylindar-sort of like a barber pole-and then wrap copper windings inside the cylindar-then put two long bar magnets on the outside of the cylindar-which move in and out with like with a throttle cable on a motorcyle if you will-when you bring the bar magnets closer to the magnets on the cylindar-it should start to spin-when they are pulked away-it will stop-also-look up 'Troy Reed' on the magnetic engine for a car prospect-thats real informative-good luck-!

One weirdly specific thing I learned from this video, was that you can use metal ruler’s to stick magnets in the holes. I never tried that, and it seems far less complicated. Than trying to align them by hand.
