Where do you get the maps with the exact frame measurements. I have a Mercedes w123 coupe that has some damage on the front and these kind of measurements are gonna be very helpful

How and where do you get the schematics with the measurements from?

I like the water bucket, but eventually that water is going to heat up overall you did a great job with that everything

Your videos are awesome, great job, I’m just wondering how many neighbours complains you had lately, I have A LOT just because I do mechanicals at home and my neighbours hate it! Keep the quality and don’t stop posting content!

I appreciate you adding the caveat to cover the pulling chain with a blanket... very important for your and others in the areas safety 👍

Super Gr8 DIY Project. GREAT VIDEO!

I was thinking of buying a new compressor, but after viewing this video I think I will build my own. I’m looking at a 3 cylinder Puma pump with 22 SCFM and a new motor. I also like the cooling coil in the 5 gallon bucket but not real sure if the water will stay cool enough so I might go with a large oil cooler in front of the flywheel.

Just take it to a chop shop,much easier

Love the cooling system idea, I will do that idea great

I really want to duplicate this, water is ideal for cooling

The motor does not put out 5 hp. The peak ratings are 230 V @ 14 A. That means the peak power is 3220 watts. 3220/745.7=4.318 hp peak. Nominal output is going to be in the neighborhood of 3 hp. This the stupid game that compressor mfg play.

Great setup. Too bad it has to live outside in the elements. How about a small protective shed around it? It would be even quieter.

Could you post a link to that bleeder valve that you used? I looked over the video but can’t really tell what kind it is

Excellent video showing auto body repair process in thorough detail! I'm pretty sure most commercial auto body repair shops probably wouldn't be half as careful & thorough in the repair process, as the repair process shown in this great video presentation.

Uuh, take a 3 cylinder 4 stroke engine and convert it to a compressor?

Why are you using copper fittings for water and not copper fittings for gas ?
@shubhkarman228 днів тому
I suggest you should go with Anest Iwata air compressor, it's a Japanese company but is made india. This is the best pump you would get in market
@omarstephenson89679 днів тому
I have a 20 gal with 2 hp and it can spray and entire car without losing pressure..

Great job! The only suggestions I could come up with is a safety cage around the moving pulleys as well as bolting the tank down to something so that vibrations don't send it off kilter. You might also want to secure your electrical connections a bit better. But, really cool solution.

Great DIY project. I would just repaint the main tank (blue) and the motor (black as compressor) to make it look new.

Anything is possible if you give a DIY guy enough time, effort, and money. But remember that the DIY god will probably want a blood donation. Scratch up another win for Harbor Freight.

Got yourself a new subscriber. Gonna have to check out this and other videos! I'm all set in the compressor areas. My brother-in-law saw to that! He built me a 5hp Quincy! I was planning on going this route with a cheap pump. However, he had a few parts laying around that become a whole compressor.

And as soon as the water heats up it will stop heat transferring, you need circulation..that's y cars have a pump and radiator
@dk83200213 днів тому
You should NEVER use solder joints on a compressor

U can't get parts for the pump from hf, and if ur in a high moisture/dusty area, they eat the rings

Much of the expensive quality brand names have been sold to China and you can not depend on names known for quality products to still be quality built.

Thank you. I’m researching compressors and want one that will allow me to paint and run all of my air tools without constantly running the compressor. The solution to not spending more than I am willing to is to invest the time to DIY…. This video helped me identify areas I needed to think more on…. Particularly love the water cooling loop….

hello sir, i like your project👍👌 . in india we have 230v AC supply. so if i use transformer that work on 230v is there any problem?

When spraying large projects with aerosol cans it can get expensive sometimes costing more than the project itself for cans of paint, I'd love a frame straightening machine but have no space for storage good job 👍
