The mobile gaming model is to maximize profits and alot of these mobile game marketing execs get hired by AAA studios to help them milk profits from there customers and then get promoted for making all this money, which starts the cycle of profits over quality

When you speak about games getting too big, blame gamers. Blame PC gamers specifically. PC gamers being willing to spend thousands to have a massive graphics card pushing out Ray Tracing 4k or whatever. People that are willing to spend that money expect every game to look brilliant and realistic, which balloons budgets. Yes games look more realistic today, but go back to the early 2000s and tell me those games don't look better on an art level and just in general hold up extremely well. I know that it's not the only problem, but I think it's a talking point no one mentions.

I also love the Easter egg where Lucy’s dad types in a code and the code is 101097, which is call back to when the original game came out

AAA gaming went down the tubes the moment the first studio head uttered the words "we have a fedouchiary responsibility to our investors". They no longer care about attracting players by being the most creative developers, everything boils down to profit now and it doesn't matter if they ship an incomplete, buggy disaster of a game so long as they ship on time and as cheaply as possible. On top of that, they nickel and dime players left right and center with dlc which they mostly exclude from the original game to once again maximize investor profit.

I remember the ending giving me a nightmare when I first played through Diablo back in the day. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go listen to the Tristram theme for 10 hours.

I think a big issue as well is that bigger budgets don't mean the money goes directly into the development of the game. A lot of older games were funded out of pocket by devs and funds mostly went to creating the game better. Most of the time when I see someone with a large budget I just see that there's a lot of people working on the game. In gaming, more is rarely better.

We arent asking for games and these game companys just flush out games. Now its going to increase the game prices i heard from 70 to 100 dollar release price from now on. OOOO were getting GTA6 and everyone rn is going back to old game either they never had time to play bc they were to busy with whats new.

they don't invest into these things because they're not BIG MASSIVE titles, can't just be good it's gotta be a money making machine, every company wants fifa not just hades. Hades is a good game, AAA wants either quick flash in the pan tons of cash from sales hype train ultra deluxe who cares if it's broken we only care about release day or a live service that can be milked for years, lately though they're being greedy and want both and it's squeezing us consumers harder then baron harkonnen telling Rabban to SQUEEEEZE We're tired of big money being involved, investors and investor capitalism drives these big companies to do stupid shit we consumers have had enough of
