Practical effects every time, but with horror films definitely practical like some of the stuff Tom Savini came up with is just amazing.

I'm rewatching Dexter with you guys and I just love these videos. I love how personally the Mrs takes it when Dexter doesn't say it back to people.

I don't think S5 gets enough credit. I know it's not season 1 or 4 standards in terms of rationale, but the main story itself - Dexter & Lumen - Is one of the shows strongest arcs. (imo obviously) and yeah they tried it before with Miguel but the writers knew they had something special with these two later trying to add Hannah as a Lumen replacement. It's a shame they couldn't just bring her character back for the final seasons or even New Blood. (Something I really thought/hoped they would do)

dude you totally ruined it for her. telling her it was aprequel before starting. biggest surprise of the movie is; you are watching it thinking it's a remake , and then you get that surprise at the end ... and you just took that experience away form her and screwed it in the rear .. you should be ashamed , it was one of the few redeeming qualities of this movie. and you stole it from her.

I'm quite sure our dynamic Cowboy Movies duo already reviewed the Thing. Maybe I'm thinking about the original. The remake was weak, they should have stuck with practical efx and prosthetics makeup. This remake, the efx were laffable. Mary Elizabeth Winstead did a good job, but it wasn't enough to salvage this farce.

In a really fun universe, all of the above happened on the same Antarctica: 1. The Thing 2. AvP 3. Monsterverse 4. Stargate SG1
