Their mics were on but so was the backtrack and it was clearly louder than week 1. At some part especially the non vocal line members basically lipsynced and you couldn’t really hear their live voice at all and at some parts mostly chaewon and yunjin did sang over the backtrack and they occasionally shouted to show their mics was on. I will not argue if anyone says the truth was different than that cause if you say that you either have partial hearing loss or you’re just saying it to protect their image. Overall lipsyncing at Coachella (or any concert really) is embarrassing but it was the better decision for them in this case cause otherwise we were gonna get the same thing as week 1. And no, noone is saying artists should have zero backtrack or they cannot skip parts when they are dancing hard. To give an example, BP also had some backtrack in their performance and they did skip some parts when dancing but noone bashed them cause they clearly sang live for the most part and sounded decent. So don’t be trying to pull out those excuses for a group that is clearly bad at live vocal performances..
