The only thing holding your shelves and gear up are the screws, you should brace the underside of the three 2x4's.

do you recommend cedar lumber instead of doug fir due to the heat and moisture? or is the doug fir holding up completly fiine so far?

Just happened across this--that's my Tiny House! I just had to say--the drawer works wonderfully. I LOVE that whole kitchen. I'm so happy with this little home, I'm still living in it and really don't ever want to live elsewhere. Ana and Jacob did beautiful work on it. Thanks so much.

Thank you again for another brilliant but simple and innovative project, using the existing material is a great idea to avoid waste. I love your channel and website, especially as you encourage people to post their finished versions of your projects, it really inspires and encourages us to try. The free plans and reasonable projects costs really help us do more within our budget and you always take the time to walk us through your process and give us tips, tricks and potential pitfalls which I really appreciate. My wife and I have now built multiple projects from your site including 3 computer desks (for son, mom and dad), wood storage cart, multiple kitchen cabinets and 2 amazing bookshelves (which my daughter is still trying to appropriate for her room). Based on other projects on your website we have also built a recycling cart, 6' rolling storage shelves and a kitchen/pantry stand. All of the projects get compliments and when people ask where we bought them from, we love the reaction when we say we built them. I saw the modern dresser you made with a brad nailer and I think that might be the next one to try. Please keep the amazing content coming and thank you for all that you do.

Ana, I really like you can holder. Of course during Covid plexiglass became hard to come by. Gratefully that is behind us. So after 4 years are you still using your can holder and how is it holding up? Thanks for Sharing!

Is that room all on one zone? Can you have several loops on one zone? Can you reduce the amount of pex by not having the pex where the kitchen cabinets will be?

Looks awesome I would love to try to make one myself but what about sanding down the surfaces like where you sit and the top and possibly using a router over the edges of the seats and the top just to make it look nice and so the edges aren't as sharp?
@AnaWhiteDIY3 дні тому
Yes you will definetley want to sand it all down, routered edges are a great idea too! Thanks for watching:)
@tuby15023 дні тому
For more comfort I would suggest to increase the angle between the seat and the back rest. You could do that by making the arm rests a bit longer and still flush the back rest with the end of the arm rest.

Love it. We did today afternoon in 1 hrs. Very simple plan. Myself my 8 yr old girl did it. Very easy. I did not have miter saw. I used circular saw. Used speed square for angle. Now just waiting for painting. Most likely paint it tomorrow.
