Looking for the video itself, b/c reading Tina M Campt’s book A Black Gaze, Artists Changing How We See (MIT Press, 2021). She has an entire Verse (chapter) The Visual Frequency of Black Life, dedicated to Arthur Jafa’s works. It is a powerhorse of a book and this chapter takes my breath away, as delving into Jafa’s incredible works. Now looking for all of them and highly recommend reading Campt if you haven’t already.

Guess they didn't realise it's common for the backside of doors to be painted with graffiti still even though the fronts been covered a million times. Especially in ny

I've loved silent films from highschool, and I'm going to 70. Harold Lloyd came to my school (Hollywood Highschool) with a 16mm print of KID BROTHER. I saw it again a few weeks ago at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival.

You should do a story on new line cinema. They started out producing b- horror movies and ended up becoming a major studio with the lord of the rings franchise.

00:07 Artists are using and confronting machine learning 01:57 Unsupervised learning allows the machine to dream and speculate an imagination of a machine. 03:23 AI Art explores the potential of machine learning in creating new realities 05:22 AI systems are not scientifically objective, but skewed from the beginning 07:18 Artists use machine learning to reveal biases and implications of AI systems 09:02 Labeling images as single words ignores their complexity and diversity. 10:57 Artists redefine the concept of art and explore the relationship between humans and machines. 12:55 AI systems have a high planetary cost and are influenced by capitalism.

Peppiatt stated: "I didn't dare go and knock." But why not? Why couldn't Peppiatt just go and knock on Giacometti's door and talk to him? I was looking at my most recent sculptures and it was obvious thatt hey were far superior to the sculptures of Giacometti which are so embarrassingly bad, and no one really likes them, but art critics have to pretend to becuase they are obliged to just as they pretend to like de Kooning because they are obliged to. I am still waiting for Peppiatt to knock on my door but I don't think he dare knock: but it is his loss, not mine.

We were all cool at one time. My 17 year old daughter doesn't know that I used to run amok and go tagging at night, El Monte, La Puente, Pomona, Ontario, and Chino from 1988 to 1992. Stopped went i started working and my best friend was killed. Started attending The University of Phoenix. Achieved a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and now a Real Estate Broker.

This was an amazing conversation, that resonates exactly with what I’ve been thinking, while trying to create my own counter-narrative in the form of an app. I really hope we can balance out the destructive power of some technologies like AI, using them in favor of the creation of either big or small counter narratives.

The rule was, if I have it right, that each guest gets to pick one work. Steve chose two. Given the vast amount of art at MOMA, I would like to have seen two more different styles.

This is great education on the different types of fighting used in cinema and the difference between that and Kung Fu, Lau Kar Yen stood out as a master of both martial arts and fight choreography. Now I want to watch the 36 Chambers of Shaolin again!

Martin knew what he was doing, it is so fitting for a piece of graffiti to be on the back side of a painting of a roll down gate. A roll down gate goes with graffiti like butter on bread, it just makes sense. Sure, maybe he did need a canvas to paint this gate on but I have to imagine he had some intention behind choosing that specific canvas with Sharp's piece on it. Interesting too that Sharp's piece is intentionally dissed by Delta2.

I hope that one day they realize how much love i got for them and this art forum, and I pray they dont forget me or resent me for it. 💔
