If major Ai Developers & CSP’s go with discounted NVIDIA Infiniband packages with their GPU orders, the entire industry may shift depending based on projected ROI, maintaining competitive edge, supply, and demand. This is assuming Infiniband provides an enough ROI to trigger a race condition amongst FAAMG and other large DC operators. Also, Ai-as-a-service may be offered by CSP’s extending RDMA/RoCE capabilities via direct connection of sorts. Moreover, Infiniband has potential to consolidate and replace traditional Fiber Channel, FCoE, and iSCSI SAN environments since there is no doubt Ai is here to stay. Ai driving changes to the internetworking stack would not be surprising. Honestly, seeing everything over Ethernet is wearing thin. Who knows🤷‍♂️, anything can happen these days.
