Bossy put up 9 straight 50 goal seasons but had a short career and only led the league in goals 2 times. Lemieux didn't exactly have a long career and only led the league in scoring 3 times. Any other person you want to argue for greatest goal scorer fails to match up to the Great 8. His goals per game rate is still top notch right up there with gretz, the hulls, richard, esposito despite playing playing close to 1500 games and playing in the dead puck era
