the problem with this method is you should not let the potatoes get sunlight while they are growing, they will start to produce Chlorophylle (hence why you see they turn green) and generate other toxic compounds in this process.

I'm attempting gardening for the first time ever this year, and this is great however for someone who's never burdened with there being no explanation it's very difficult to know a couple of things. 1) why are you clipping off the leaves that you're clipping off? What determines the ones you're clipping off? Second what is the powder that you're sprinkling over the food scraps before you bury them in the soil? Are you literally only putting the food / compost in the soil twice during this whole time frame? Lastly is there any specific type of fish that you use or shouldn't use when you do it this way whole foods for that matter?
