It is often not good to over- idealize any community or a group, nor a person! There is lots of good in the Amish community! However, there is also unspoken darkness! Are u aware or know that there are very serious issues in the Amish Communities , such as an incest, pedophilia, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, serious animal abuse, etc! Also, the Amish have no issues to lie to the Police and to the Judge, kidnap and hide the Children of the woman that had left the Amish, etc etc! The Amish make all kinds of false promises that they would punish the perpetrator and keep the victims safe and permanently apart! They rarely do what they say! Unfortunately, the Judges and the police have bought into this idea that Amish are ‘honest and trustworthy’! Of course, but Only when it suits the Amish! The World’s laws are Not the Amish laws! The Amish will not report incest, pedophilic abuse, nor anything ! They may report a murder, though! Sure, the Amish may punish the husband that beat up his wife or kids! Sure they may punish the brother that raped his sister Or the neighbour that is a pedophilic! For a few weeks or for a few months, these will be disciplined and ostracized! Then, they have to be forgiven! And if the victim doesn’t forgive, brings up her rape again after the shunning, keeps talking about it, then the victim will be disciplined in the church and shunned herself !! Oh, and the perpetrator will definitely be living within same household ! Of course, the domestic and the sexual abuse will continue and there is no protection any more, unless the victim calls the police herself! Calling the police is also against the Amish rules!

Jesus taught caring, love, forgiveness and grace! He preached Against Legalism and yet, the Amish made their church laws into their idols on the pedestal! It’s so very sad! The Amish do not understand the Jesus’ message! Jesus went after the Pharisees and the other religious leaders, bc they sacrificed caring for the laws! People and their animals suffered, yet, the religious church laws were magnified and insisted upon! This kind of stuff made Jesus angry! The Amish elders were incredibly petty about her head cap and other such legalistic irrelevant, petty stuff! The horse color is wrong, using electricity and phone are wrong, reading the Bible is wrong, and the List is so long, so arbitrary and so incredibly petty! Each Amish community has own religious laws that may differ from the other Amish community! The Amish leaders drive many of their own people out due to this draconian legalism that had nothing to do with being a Christian! Then they lay the heavy one, ‘if u leave the Amish, u will definitely going to hell’! It’s all about controlling and instilling fear! That’s why some Amish commit a suicide! They cannot win! They are persecuted within own Amish community, the World outside is the scary unknown, so they give up trying! Then these suicide victims are insulted again by the leadership refusing to acknowledge them and give them a decent funeral and a head stone with their name on! Do Amish ever ask themselves, ‘What would Jesus do’!?? Jesus was never this cold nor hard-hearted!

There's nothing worse than mainstream narrow minded western based johnny come latelys with typical biblical based understanding of sunyata. The reality of what's going on is beyond their scope and those few that know don't get involved with these beings. It's not their time yet. This was great other than Matthew 16:27-28 and Luke 21:22 completely destroys anybody’s misunderstanding of Jesus coming back in some futuristic judgment.
