Very clever 😀. Have you thought of putting your power on a pole mounted on the carriage at say 60-70 degrees so it’s over the top of you and to the side to avoid fouling on saw or a trip hazard.

I really like this channel, one of the few creators of this type of content that doesn't talk us to death while he's doing the job

Just a suggestion: put the power cord on the other side of the machine and put a 1-1.5m lenght tube to the side of the sled (to the right from the operator point of view) and tie power cable to it. That way it can move freely on the ground with the sled and it is not in your feet all the time.
