The challenge of doing a puzzle when there is a cat in the family!

Amazing time lapse! ☺️🧩

Peak puzzling as always 😊
@1themom113 днів тому
You blow me away. I could never in a million years! It would be awesome if you could add at the end how long each puzzle takes for you to complete and then your rating from easy to difficult. Any chance you can add those sorts of things to your videos?
@PuzzleKats12 днів тому
Typically I don't time things (I did do it for the individual and pair puzzles from nationals though just to have a comparison). Timing it makes it feel stressful!! But I can add ratings and such, and I'll think about timing!
@clarkkent79737 днів тому
@@PuzzleKats I have started timing my puzzle primarily to measure difficulty. The key is definitely not to stress over the total time. The actual value doesn't really matter. It is the comparison to all the other times that matter.
@clarkkent797313 днів тому
I bought this puzzle hoping that it was easier to complete in person than it looks like on the video. On video, it looks like mostly just one big blob of blue (i.e. "blue hell"). I cannot believe that you didn't do the sun earlier!!! I heard rumors that each circle has a slightly different texture/pattern. Wish me luck!
@PuzzleKats12 днів тому
I was saving the red for my husband 😀 otherwise I would have done it first! I actually did think it was easier than I originally thought. There are definitely differences in the patterns, so once you pick up on them, it goes quickly!
@elizabethhogan51413 днів тому
I did this puzzle couple months ago and my cats also really got into it.
@clarkkent797315 днів тому
Did you get the Celestial Constellations puzzle too? While the finished image of Busy Birdies is extremely beautiful, it looks incredibly difficult so I didn't buy it. For those that don't know, it tells the story of a life with birth at top left and death at bottom right.
@PuzzleKats14 днів тому
This was quite difficult. I did not know the story, so thanks for sharing! I did buy the constellations puzzle. I actually just finished it so stay tuned for that!
@jmason177010 днів тому
@@PuzzleKats I believe Dean MacAdam talked about that (life cycle) during the interview on the Nationals livestream.

Thanks for doing it upside down so we could enjoy the picture. Wish your videos were longer...!

When will y’all do another 2-5k piece puzzle ?
@PuzzleKats18 днів тому
2000 might be in the next couple weeks, but 3-5 will be a few months probably since I don’t have space right now :(

Why you take some pices out? 😅
@PuzzleKats27 днів тому
This puzzle comes with a border for each section, so if you want to put it all together, you have to take out the interior borders!

Loved the artwork but would have hated those bricks!! Had I been the previous owner I would have said my cat chewed those pieces! He loves paper and cardboard is a delicacy to him!!

I do it 1 week to 1 month a 500.

"Note there are no missing pieces, but the bottom left corner has some damage from the previous owner." Gotta love it when the previous owner gets hungry and starts eating the puzzles. 🤣

Which of the puzzles from the Nationals was your favorite? 😊❤
@PuzzleKatsМісяць тому
Hmm I have a couple more to do, but probably the pets of palm springs so far! I like the sweet street image a lot, but speed puzzling for the 1000 piece was too exhausting for it to be fun. Maybe I'll do it again slowly :)

@craftingwithpatandmoreМісяць тому
It is amazing to see a puzzle go together like that. Thank you for sharing.
@alanmittan4651Місяць тому
Great job doing in it under an hour! I am not a speed puzzler as I just cannot just turn pieces over without sorting them at the same time. I like to minimize touching the pieces only once (if at all possible) before I actually start "puzzling". This method therefore is not conducive to speed puzzling but is the way I am happiest when I go to "puzzle land" - as I call it!
@PuzzleKatsМісяць тому
Happiness is the most important! I prefer relaxed puzzling too :)
@xNiraМісяць тому
Did you go to Nationals?!
@PuzzleKatsМісяць тому
Not this year! But I'll try for the next one!
@alanmittan4651Місяць тому
What's the kittties name?? Enjoyed watching some one else doing a 3000 piece puzzle. After 30 yrs and a million + pieces my largest was 2000 and I hated the process. Tried a couple others and hated the process every time even though I liked the pictures. Never doing another one that big.
@PuzzleKatsМісяць тому
Her name is Sidney! The smaller puzzles are definitely my go-to as well, but I like doing larger ones once in a while!
@alanmittan4651Місяць тому

@alanmittan4651Місяць тому

Our male cat loves to chew paper and cardboard puzzle pieces are a delicacy to him. Have a few pieces with his teeth marks well embedded!! But I have managed to train him to sit in his box on the puzzle table if he wants to watch me puzzle AND NOT CHEW MY PUZZLE! 😅 New to your channel just specifically to see the puzzles done from start to finish from Nationals. They skipped around too much as they had to of course. Thanks enjoyed watching you two !!
@PuzzleKatsМісяць тому
I am so glad our cat does not chew puzzle pieces! The box on the table is a great strategy; she usually takes the bait too. And I'm glad to be of service :)

Hope you enjoyed the different approach to puzzling - even if relaxed puzzling is your preferrred choice. You might try a competition in the next years, I would not be surprised - since you are very fast and a well-oiled team. 🙂
