We used to go to bishop island on day trips with captain cook ferry un the captain cook bridge it was a fun day out it had a nice beach kiosk and park we would have a swim the water was a lot cleaner in the early 70s 😂😂😂

Back in the 1980's I used to attend Christmas parties for Art Organizations at the Spring Hill Baths. These parties inevitably ended with drunken guests in the pool fully clothed. If you didn't want to dive in, someone would push you in. Cheers.

In the early 70's we used to travel from Bulimba (where we lived) to Hemmant to buy meat from Jack Horner's. This large processing and retail meat proprietor was on the banks of the Doboy Creek. They made good quality pork sausages which unfortunately are hard to find anywhere today. Cheers.

As a child I used to visit Wynnum with my parents quite often. I could never comprehend how when I looked to the east I saw land when it should have been ocean. I had no idea that North Stradbroke's high dunes were what I saw..
