I have problems, starting a thread network at all. I use the Raspberry Pi image, you referred to on an Pi 4, out-of-the-box - only using a flashed nRF52840 dk. When running the mattertool help command, the help appears - but I don't see the matter logo or the "setting environment variables"-lines. When starting a thread network, it just says "connect session failed: No such file or directory" x 11. Any suggestions?

I just installed my first Matter over thread device yesterday. The process was very frustrating. I have all the devices, and eero with thread, and Alexa with thread, an Apple home setup with a tv as the hub. I had to set up the device (Nanoleaf essentials) three times on three different apps to finally get it to work. Being able to “merge” or rename thread networks would help, as every device wants to run its own thread networking, giving me a long list of random names of thread networks to choose from during the setup. I was only able to get the device to work thanks to a Reddit post with some instructions. Here’s to hoping these new updates smooth things over. I really wish the best for this standard but I’m shocked that after all this time there’s still a disconnect in how the onboarding works for different “platforms”. 🤞🤞

do NOT install this extension. It's TERRIBLE. It sets itself as a global extension, it makes itself so embedded that you can neither disable, nor uninstall the extension as it wanrs "cannot disable / uninstall {ANY extension you had installed before installing this} depends on this." Essentially, it makes it so every extension you have is marked as "depending" on this silicon labs extension. BUT WAIT, IT GETS WORSE!!!! The extension doesn't do ANYTHING. it literally pushes you to use their bloated "simplicty studio" software for EVERYTHING anyway,. essentially, it's a malicious extension, that forces you to install their software, and do everything in their software anyway, which COMPLETELY defeats the fkn purpose of using VS Code to begin with.

The Milwaukee example sounds very construed. Were any actual workers consulted in praising the IOT'ization? Don't get me wrong - I am all for IOT, but it's dangerous to go where, when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
