Thanks. Yeah the game can be quite frustrating at times, I've done hundreds of track resets and the video's I made are probably my better runs, but have gone through a lot of accidents due to traffic just being unfortunately in the way.

I really wish that Dangerous Driving had the traffic checking feature like what Burnout Revenge and Burnout Paradise have in order to ensure you won't accidentally crash into traffic on the right side of the road, depending on the circumstances though.

Tough question, depends on your use case. The i9 14900 doesn't have an improved memory controller (over 13th generation), and people with even the ROG Hero boards have trouble getting 4 sticks to work on decent speeds so it might be a gamble, and this counts for practically any brand/board right now. Maybe I was in luck to get it stable due to choosing Dominator ram over Vengeance, hand picked chips, even though it are two kits from two different production dates and brands of chips. The motherboard is maybe also a step higher. But just don't blindly expect that when you throw in 4 sticks, even if it's 4x32GB that it'll run advertised speeds especially with XMP. If you're going for 4 sticks I definitely wouldn't overspend on speeds beyond DDR5-5600 which are rated as OC and you're unlikely to run it stable without memory errors, especially with dual-rank modules, 32GB modules are dual-rank by default. Adds strain to the memory controller on the CPU. In a short summary, want speedy ram get 2x16GB and something above DDR5-6000 (but note that 32GB is not much these days) or get 2x32GB and stick to a maximum of DDR5-5600 to 6000, it may work with XMP but no guarantees. DDR5-5600 should work with XMP though on 2 sticks. If you need capacity and no headaches with stability, probably the better option (but not as nice-RGB looking) would probably be using 2x48GB modules, if you really need 128GB or more don't expect 5600 to run stable, maybe not even 5400 let alone XMP, you may have to drop to 4800Mhz or 5200Mhz. For 192GB I expect the speeds to be even less in order to be stable. Personally the performance difference between 5600 dropping to 5400 was negligiblein games, the only place where a bigger drop was noticed was memory bandwidth in benchmark tests such as Aida64. In short memory bandwidth wise: DDR5-5600 64GB: - Read 86.3GB/s - Write 83.5GB/s - Copy 84.6GB/s - Latency 76ns DDR5-5400 128GB: - Read 79.1GB/s - Write 76.8GB/s - Copy 79.4GB/s - Latency 73.6ns But I'd probably opt getting 2x32GB if you think that is enough for your system or 2x48GB for 96GB to keep a balance in capacity and compatiblity/speed. Dual-rank modules of 32GB and larger are generally better performance than single-rank modules anyway. I'm not sure if the Dark Hero is a new Z790 board but make sure it would be compatible with the CPU or 48GB modules with bios updates if needed. If you install high capacity RAM it may take a while for the system to POST initially, so do not stress if it seems to hang for several minutes. When I upgraded from 64GB to 128GB with an additional kit it took 6 minutes for the memory to train in order to POST. This should not be a daily occurrence however, once it's done it should boot relatively quickly. And do not deem the system stable if it POSTS with XMP enabled at advertised speed, especially with 128GB make sure to run Memtest86 first to make sure it passes without errors because you risk corrupting your files and OS if unstable, aside of any BSODs you may get. Also adequate airflow may help with stability, DDR5 modules can get a bit warm under stress towards 60°C in my case. Hope that helps.

@@joshyddog2054 Most likely yes. I think it'll be very difficult to get an actual dual-rank 32GB module to run stable towards 6600+ or higher as of now. I believe that would only work on high quality 16GB modules and after a quick search I don't even seem to find 7200mhz 32GB modules, only 32GB kits consisting of 2x16GB. And then you just have to be very lucky that the CPU even accepts it considering the varying quality of IMC (Internal Memory Controller). Essentially with 64GB or 96GB capacities or higher investing in modules above 5600 or 6000 is most likely a waste of money you could spend elsewhere, it is an early adopters problem for DDR5 right now, it still has to mature and so do the products that make use of it. And then there's the motherboard quality aspect, the circuit traces of the DIMMs that connect to the CPU can cause problematic noise that'll get more finicky on higher speed RAM, the noise eventually gets so bad the CPU is unable to properly read it out and well I suppose that's causing the memory errors. But I'll admit I'm not an expert on the latter part, I've tried to read into it quite a bit before I made a decision to upgrade. My RAM modules don't have the tightest timings either at CL40 which may have helped getting it stable at 4 sticks. But I think you should be good to go if you stick to 2 modules and avoid most of this trouble. I would also take a look at DDR5 reviews such as Guru3d has with 7200mhz scaling on the 13900K. You will see the differences are not gigantic enough to worry about. Practicality and stability matters more, and capacity helps, over having a very high speed module in my opinion, unless you want to break benchmark records. Also if I may suggest, don't cheap out on cooling on these, a 360mm AIO will have trouble keeping up under the highest load conditions. I have a 420mm AIO running with 6 fans, even though 6 fans won't do much extra over 3 the water surface is what matters the most for the cooling capacity. On max fan speed with 10 minutes of Cinebench R23 crunching away at 290W with -0.06v undervolt it sits at low to mid 90s as a maximum, so no throttle, the 14900 will not be much different if not worse. Without undervolt with about 310-320W it would just about hit 99 or 100°C after 10 minutes at a mild room temperature of maybe 23°C. Cooling is very important with these but you can always put in limitations to power draw aswell which I have removed, but undervolting is worth a try to have a cooler solution and no throttling and less power draw which may net more performance. Ofcourse gaming will not produce such heavy loads so it will run fine temps wise, until games actually start to multi-thread so heavily it'll start using more capacity.

Try looking into the resolution settings ingame, maybe it has reverted to a low refreshrate causing trouble. It is a little tricky on this game, it may mess up changing from windowed to fullscreen including the resolution itself, so double check it's correct.

@@G4m3m4st0r Thanks! On trying to change the resolution in game I discovered I could not, no other options. I thought perhaps I needed to change my desktop resolution and found that was grayed out as well. This led me to trying to reinstall the AMD driver which would not work but I learned that was because a recent Windows update borked my driver and or other AMD related software. I had to use the AMD software removal tool to remove all AMD chipset drivers then reinstall the graphics driver which fixed my problem. The games runs great now! Now I'm just trying to get mods to work.. LOL trying to install too many patch.dat files. I'm sure there is a way to merge them. At least I can now keep what is left of my hair! LOL Thanks again!

You definitely should try it out, it is a real original Call of Duty experience, very similar to Call of Duty 2 just a little less advanced.

UO was my favorite "game" at the time. Even though it was just an expansion, it was so much more for COD.

Sorry to hear that, at this point I don't think it'll be fixed ever, it has been years. I simply switched to the nightclub and let it generate cash overnight while sitting in a nightclub security camera, it will not disconnect and the method is way less stressfull.
