I think before confronting his son Luke…he was full force dark side. Connecting with Luke…is the closest he could get to connecting with Padme. I think him not killing Admiral Piett was Vaders first pull to the light and officially became conflicted.

I think the Interceptor w a shields and hyperdrive upgrade (Legends, which is what I follow anyway) would make me sign up as an Imp - pretty decent weaponry and sooo maneuverable, and I think it can outmaneuver an A-Wing. I’d also want the chin guns as well; wish they could be ion cannons, but having six laser cannon is a nice bump up from the suicide TIE. It also looks like it has a big improvement for visibility, although it still isn’t great. I wonder if it could still out dance the A-Wing with the hyperdrive, shields, and chin lasers upgrade. The Defender is pretty amazing, too. I’d like to see how it turns, compared with the Interceptor. If it meets or beats it, then Defender for me, for sure - with a chin weapons package.

Makes me wonder if Putin dresses up like Tarkin or Sidious? At least stormtroopers look like they have decent armor and modern weapons, and don’t have to steal some or bring their own. Ha, Tarkin prolly bought 500,000 stormtrooper costumes instead of armor.

I don't think Yoda's want for Anakin to be there when Sidious was confronted was based on his power actually. Yoda even if he was obstinate and dogmatic in his views on the Jedi and Sith knew Anakin had a bond with Palpatine that as seen in RotS was exploited to cause his fall, but more than that Yoda knew the kind of individual Anakin was and that he was a good person at heart. I believe he thought that had Anakin been present from the start and saw what Palpatine did to the Jedi Masters first hand he'd understand the kind of danger Palpatine presented.

the tie defender project may not be as flashy as the death star's destructive power but its very effective since the tie defenders have powerful shields that normal weaponry wouldn't be enough. if the tie defenders were distributed to tie pilots and mass produced instead of the Death Star, the rebellion would of had an even more difficult time and would of lost. the empire really would of been better off with tie defenders along with so many other things.

I personally prefer the biochip explanation. It honestly makes way more sense to me. It does not make sense to me that every clone, chain of command clarity or not, could turn so easily and without question against their closest ally. Without the chips I imagine it would have played out much closer to how it played out on umbara when krell ordered the execution of the clones who betrayed his orders. With chips explains why it was so quick, so effortless, and why all the clones followed the order and not just the one who received it.

Personally, I think Tarkin thought about the fact that if Darth Vader was Anakin, then why was he now forced to live in that black armor and mask (hidden from before)? If Tarkin knew that Anakin had gone to Mustafar and died there (false), then he might well have assumed that Anakin had suffered permanent damages on the volcanic planet and was subsequently forced to live in that armor with the life support (hypothetically), otherwise he would have died without it. All he had to do was connect all this and he would understand. In my opinion, Tarkin was intelligent and understood the truth: Anakin had survived and was now living in that armor under the name Darth Vader.

Even more maneuverable than the TIE Interceptor? I wonder how many Defenders were built. Not enough… Wonder how atmospheric, vacuum, and hyperspace speeds and ranges compare with A- and X-Wings. Shields as powerful as an ISDs? What does that even mean? And the hyperdrive is a much needed addition. It would be useful, I’d think to make internal cabin rearrangements to stuff an additional person in, in an emergency. So the two bulges just under the canopy aren’t more laser cannon? Now they launch projectiles? They just don’t look large enough for either proton torpedoes or concussion missiles; maybe I misunderstood something? It looks and reads like it’s more superior to the X-Wing and A-Wing…I’d love to see a 1 on 1 dogfight between them, especially with an A-Wing as that is my current favorite star fighter. Otherwise, there are the four laser cannon on left and right lowers, and two ion cannon on the upper? No more armaments, or capability for hard points on the wing tip edges, as seen on the TIE Interceptor? No modular hard points for launchers or bomb tubes like the deathtrap TIE Bomber? Or likewise such as on the TIE Scimitar? You know, for light or medium surface attack missions? I guess I don’t know if the onboard missile launchers are intended for air-to-air, air-to-ground, or both… If I was an ISD Admiral, I’d think numerically equivalent squadrons of the TIE Defender, Interceptor, and the Scimitar would be tops on my list, and ditch the TIE Fighter, Fighter S/A, and Bomber cannon fodder to lesser, quantity indoctrinated admirals. Seems to me they’d pay for themselves instantly, with mission successes and Star Destroyers saved.

The voice commands for control chips seems like a bad idea if you think about it for more than 5 seconds lol. There’s a few times where other people use the “orders” and it is almost comical if you don’t think about their brains being overridden. They use orders 66 on some of Vader’s hold over 501st clones

So, there could have been some confusion in more CTs l, even with the chip, if those acts weren't passed.

I remember a clone trooper named Able, also known as BL-1707, CT-1707, and finally Able-1707. He fought for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars under Jedi General Shaak Ti's command. After being stranded on the planet Lubang Minor when his gunship was shot down, he eventually joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic. During the Galactic Civil War, he encountered Imperial stormtroopers on Lubang Minor and mistook them for clone troopers. He revealed himself but was fired upon. Able joined the Rebel Alliance after meeting Luke Skywalker, who introduced himself as a Jedi General. Able later joined Alliance Intelligence and adopted the name "Able" instead of using the numeric part of his clone designation. Despite Skywalker not being an actual general, Able addressed him as one due to his familiarity with all Jedi being generals during the Clone Wars. I wonder if Able told to Luke stories about Anakin's during the Clone Wars. In my head canon he did. 😁
