It surprised me that the two most successful pioneers of the so-called "Dramedy" genre, Steven Bochco (Hooperman, Doogie Houser MD) and Jay Tarses (The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd, The Slap Maxwell Story), would take a major step backwards by making a situation comedy with a studio audience. In my opinion, while Tarses had success with "Bob Newhart Show" and "Buffalo Bill" (both with Tom Patchett), sitcoms were Bochco's weakest genre (example: "Turnabout"), and "Public Morals" was a good example of that. The characters were cartoonishly unbelievable and the humor felt forced, resulting in being painfully unfunny. Had Bochco and Tarses made this as a Dramatic Comedy without the studio audience, a better time slot, and a better network (ABC), I think it would've been successful.

I read that Fernando Lamas was supposed to star as Gavilan. But, he was replaced for some reason by Robert Urich before the pilot was filmed.

I remember like it was yesterday . I was 10 or so and passed in front of the TV just as the intro turned into a song. Cute girl. Catchy song. What did I know? I’m 50+ now. Glad I found this. Thanks MrPostman / Postwoman.

Saw the movie last night and immediately came to find this song! I didn't think I'd like the movie but...I did; especially the surprises at the end😊❤. *Amazon Prime is selling episodes of the series today for pennies. *I am not endorsing or paid for my totally biased review! #80sCrushOnLeeMajors

gerry wilson think producers were having a little fun at our expense jim corrigan was the secret identity of he specre featured which always seemed strange to me in more fun comics as he (co-creaed by jerry siegel of superman) was one of comics' strangest characters

I'm sure you very well meant the wonderful year of 1996. :) Life With Roger was from Robert Griffard and Howard Adler, who created "Going Places", which also starred Hallie Todd. The creators would have Hallie appear on yet another one of their shows after Roger's cancelation, when she guest starred on "Two of a Kind". Jeez, Homeboys in Outer Space. Yeah, I am embarrassed to admit, I watched about three episodes of that. I knew it wasn't going to last more than a year, even on UPN.
