Before plants evolved, what did ammonia eating bacteria eat? Or did the plants evolve, then amonia eating bacteria evolved after. Sorry evolutionists the plants all died and animals before the bacteria had enough "time" to evolve. Or vice versa. Life is full of these balance relationships making evution a retarted belief. Sorry, but God the creator did it is 1 Trillion times easier to blieve.

Yes! Someone mentioned orchids. (? Are they epiphytes too?) they’d look great up a branch wrapped around it …

Did your pond plants survive the winter? I wwnt a pond so badly (i live in nc) but what filters the pond during the winter?

Every time I see these builds it’s the same thing starting with a big area an using so much rock you end up with a puddle instead of a pond they never seem to take the rock into consideration.

I wish I could do something like this with local materials, but I live in the Mojave desert... Also, do you think you'll do a setup intended for a blue tongue skink?

The "that ain't going nowhere" outfit and joke was so unexpected 🤣 had to give it a few replays. The scape came out great!

Fantastic build! You still need to learn how to use a glass cutter correctly, but I'll let it slide. ( make your score in one, singlular pass - no stopping, no going back over it, that can cause weird variations in the score and/or multiple score lines. After you score it, slide the score line out past the ede of your work surface where it is unsupported and give it a gentle tap or two from underneath, directly under the score. Gravity will do the rest and your less likely to shatter it from an errant whack. You can also cut curves in glass but the process is actually making several smaller straight cuts aroung the edge of the glass and using the notch on the tool to snap the glass off. Finish with a gentle sanding. )

Ew. Looks silly. Back looks ridiculous, it's half empty, and the sticks are far from driftwood. They're just random branches you picked up off the ground. I mean... why go through all the effort of building this and just do a crappy job?

A friend has offered me a derelict aquarium and I’m thinking of building a paludarium in it. The downside is I live in a place where most of these supplies are unavailable. The upside is I live at 22 degrees north in a wet area so I should be able to find most of what I need in nature. The hardware will be a challenge though. This is going to be a trip.

At the end you ask "What would you make?" Well, my next 2 projects are admittedly not low budget, but are able to have their cost refined further than I have already. A 10 gallon walstad tank is my next immediate project for a very special species of fish, to be followed by (once I move), a 75 gallon 4.0 ph blackwater bog tank for even more of the special little fish.
