Um, so I rewatched Ep. 7 with subtitles idk why I did that but when N was trapped and dragged away in that scene the subtitles say its V talking not Cyn so V must be a rebuilt host. Also look at the hair.

The more I look at Caine, the more he feels like a kindergarten teacher trying to keep the kids from realizing that there's a zombie outbreak outside the building. Like he's putting on a mask of being all hyper and jolly, but he's stressed as hell and just wants to keep everyone from going crazy. He's not good at it clearly but... y'know

I never laugh at Caines jokes or find him funny. I think that's the point though, he supposed to be a creepy but trying to shrug if off by being jokey (that seems to be the whole stick of the show honestly. It's not funny, just everything has this weird creep factor around it). At least that's how it comes off to me. He is the tyrannical overlord of the matrix world whose totally insane now. But I'm going to guess he's really just like the others but just the oldest living person that hasn't abstracted.

"Zuko has more chemistry with Jin and Song, than he ever does with Mai." Exactly what I was thinking when watching the series for the first time recently. It feels like the only reason why this is the thing is for Mai to have her moment near the end of the Boiling Rock. The payoff is great, but the setup is flimsy as hell. Zuko is almost as open-ended as Sokka when it comes to who he could end up with, but it feels like out of all the options, Mai is the safest and least interesting. Katara would be the most interesting, but also the hardest to pull off without 4th season.

One of the few things I disliked about this show was its complete inability to convey anything as truly serious. Any piece from any episode could have massive effects later, or it could be tossed aside like it didn't exist. They made a point of showing a monster arm flashback in a later episode and then never brought it up again. They got Marco and Kelly together, only to throw it aside between episodes. Things they explicitly told you didn't matter were made important again if it was beneficial to the plot.

Man you're not alone, I seem to have pretty much opposite reactions to most people when it comes to TADC. The Pilot seemed kinda boring to me, I've seen this kind of thing done before, none of the characters really clicked with me, the humor wasn't really doing anything for me and pretty much just the visual made me watch it till the end. Then the next episode came out and it was more or less similar but for the same reason people started hating Jax I actually began to like him because it was genuinely entertaining to me that he's just unapologetically THAT bad. I wasn't a big fan of him after the pilot but now I think he probably will be my favourite character as to me he's the most interesting to watch. I just feel like we don't get that many characters who are just assholes anymore, it always has to be a coping mechanism or a tragic backstory or a front they're putting on to push people away before they can hurt them so Jax is ironically kind of refreshing. I really did not expect for everyone to be that sad about Gummigoo since I expected him to not make it past this episode from the start, like I did not expect him to ACTUALLY join the main cast, he's literally a side character of a one-shot story, so I knew not to get attached to him and then literally everyone is so emotional about him being exploded by Caine and I'm here like...really guys? I still don't really think TADC is my cup of tea but I'm interested in where it goes and I always like supporting an indie project so 👍

I’m not gonna lie, after the second episode I’m MORE inclined to agree with your previous video… 😅 like I love it and it’s premise! But for me the existential “what am I why am I alive” of the characters is already old and it only happened with one croc npc. On top of that you could tell immediately the croc was gonna get thanosed just to give pomni some extra trauma I don’t hate it by any means! But I do think it’s gonna be one of those shows where I have to be in the mindset for exaggerated existentialism to enjoy, otherwise I’ll be rolling my eyes

I feel like the problem with the jax hate was brought upon the creator themself. Like goose is great and i love tadc but what did goose expect when they kept going on about how "people aren't going to like jax" and "jax is gonna be worse in ep two" i feel like jax's behavior did not change at all between the two episodes and people seem to not like him in episode two because goose accidently convinced them to not like him. If you say a statement like that people are just going to blindly agree especially if you have any relevance on the topic like being the whole ass creator of the character and story. If goose never mentioned anything at all i feel there would be less people going on a rabbit hunt against jax

I mean didn't the creator come out and say (in a tweet I'd admittedly have to track down so take this with a grain of salt as I could be misremembering or was shown something fake) of all the character's, Jax is the one who actually deserves to be in the Circus (at least more so then anyone else), and seeing as it was pretty clear from the start the Circus is at best, a living purgatory, boarding on hellish, when you take that on top of his behavior in the first episode it's pretty clear he is and always was an asshole.

This show honestly feels like it was written for a broadway show and just handed over wholesale to an animated series. It explains why so many things were rushed and important details just... happen off screen. The problem is that because this is a serialized television series, it brings with it expectations. You go and see a broadway show for the spectacle and the music first and foremost. This is one of many reasons why Cats didnt work as a movie. With TV and film, we need to have more of a cohesive thread of events and elements like pacing being put under more scrutiny. They're basically trying to write a musical into an animated series instead of making an animated series with musical numbers in it.

You talking about how Caines creations are more emotionally intelligent than he is and more human-like despite being made out of the same stuff made me think about the parallels between Caine and the christian god. God created in his own image, has questionable parameters (omnipotence/omniscience but only sometimes?), and is in charge of making things for a bunch of beings that may or may not matter. Also, and this might be a controversial statement, but questionable emotional intelligence (Job's children). If Caine is god, is Bubble satan?

The "You're just a pet" line Nolan says is most definetly more for him than it ever was for her. Homie LYING to himself to try to make himself feel better abou the confliction of emotions he was having at the time of the great "unveiling"

I gotta say, Jax being a completely chaotic asshole was one of the funniest parts to me of episode 2. It's fun seeing a character so unapologetically awful and thinking about how he could become a villain later in the show
