The hardest part of attending an auction with that many boxes is remembering exactly which boxes had something in them that I wanted to bid on. And to make it even harder, we all know that the contents of the boxes could have changed between the time you look at them and the time they get auctioned. But, even with those issues, that looked like a great auction to attend and you got some very nice items at a very good price. Thanks for sharing this fun box auction with us!

This was thrilling

It is so sad how dilapidated AC is now. My Aunt who came to America in the 1940's from Norway (her family lived on a farm)decided one day that she wanted to find a rich husband so she got into her best, most beautiful dress and the only fur coat she had and worked very hard to buy on her own and went yo the boardwalk in Atlantic City with her sister. So long story short, she sees this young dapper looking gentleman and just KNEW that was him! That was her rich American husband! Well she goes up to introduce herself and when the young man opened his mouth to talk, guess what?!?!?! He had JUST as thick of a Norwegian accent as my Aunt! He was from Norway also! Well, they ended up getting married, having a wonderful family and buulding a highly successful company together that my Uncle has retired from and now his sons run the company. 😊

Those Valentine's Day were all old tyme cards I especially liked the one that pulled out like an accordion Did the round brass item you couldn't get open contain a compass I'm intrigued now that I saw it? 🇨🇦🦩

Seems that the organizers of this event were pretty sure that it would be a dry and sunny day, otherwise... 🌧. 5:09 Those little hedgehogs could be from the "Mecki" series, created by Bros. Diehl and extremely popular over here especially in the 1950s and 1960s. Lucky you, your purchases were an absolute bargain, e.g. the old Christmas and Valentine greeting cards, and, not to forget, the 1939 New York World´s Fair souvenir ! 👌 Well deserved.
