Hey Norm! What operations are you wanting to use while traveling? The refrigerator, furnace & water heater are able to be used while in transit. @@smithrvsalesserviceinc.5398 I want the unit to be useable with slide in. For example, can get stuff out of fridge to make quick lunch at rest stop. Bed is usable if end up at a Cracker Barrel overnight and can’t put slide out etc. can get to bathroom if needed. I know it will be tight and uncomfortable, but at least usable. This particular unit has solar on the roof. If a unit does not already have solar but is solar prepped, you will want to look for a sticker that says (Solar Ready). Usually, right behind that decal one can find the solar wires. And on the roof, there will be a solar port, sometimes covered in Dicor (caulking). Let us know if we can help further. Hey Scott!! Glad to hear you have enjoyed the 25Y, it's a great floor plan! The 25R is such a long running floor plan in the NW lineup. This new mini dinette option really has brought new life to it and is a nice change. And yes, some length savings going to the 25R is always nice. Hey Lawrence!! I would recommend a Ford F-450 with air bags. Air bags may not be super necessary with a truck like this, but pending on how to intend to use it or where you plan on taking it, I believe that they will come in handy. If anything else, they give some great support. On the temp question, I have had customers tell me that they have had their Foxes freeze at 10 degrees above and also have had customers tell me they have been 20 to 30 below zero and have not frozen. Really, it comes down to the exact weather of where you are at and which direction the camper is facing, wind and humidity. With the 1150 sitting on a truck, pending the exact truck, it will be about 12' 5'' to the top of the A/C. Hopefully, that helps and keep us posted if we could help further. Thanks for watching!!! Hey David, we have only had a few minor issues since their entrance into the RV market several years ago. Northwood's 2024 solar package is pretty impressive, 400 watts of solar standard is a ton. I would rather have comfortable seating vs. the U-shaped dinette. But if I am stuck with the stupid U-shaped dinette, I would rather there was access under them from outside. I wish my bed was in the back and the dinette was in the front. I hate having my bed next to the door. I am not a fan of having the kitchen in the middle with the dinette in the back. If it is raining then people are in and out while someone is trying to cook. The generator compartment, I have a tub inside that holds all my sewage supplies, with the extra hose in the bumper and only 20' of hose in the compartment. Have they finally started making the diamond plate go under the front end cap piece or did they add trim to that? I would rather have a walk around bed that is not a murphy bed, but I did not want to go longer to get that. I guess if the mr. decides to go camping with me more often we will have to figure something out re: the bed situation, and climbing over each other. But like you, I have always said "Why is there no outside access to under the dinette seat. Especially since there is a propane hook up there, one could store their flat top or bbq and accessories in that space.

The ideal set up for a camper like this would be a 3500 dually at the minimum with air bags, Tork Lift stable loads or Timbrens pending your preference of suspension assistance. We have some customer's using the F-450 or Ram 4500. For your 2500, I would recommend the following, the Wolf Creek 850, Wolf Creek 890 or the Arctic Fox 865. Let us know if we can help out. Good morning, Debbie!! Northwood has built in breakers on these, so the motors won't ratchet when the slide gets all the way out or in. So, you will want to hold your finger on the button unit it stops either in or out. But do not hold it longer than you have to. Hope that helps!! Camping Cass

Hey Myron, Arctic Fox has 2 options for 6.5 box trucks, the 811 and the 865 in short box form. In Wolf Creek (a lighter, less expensive alternative to Arctic Fox) offers the 850 and 890. We just sold a 2004 Arctic Fox 860 Long Box today and we installed it in a Dodge Ram short box truck with the tailgate down. The center of gravity will be off, some people may not mind, and some will. Hello!! Yes, not many brands offer generator prep in this class. Some of the showers can be rather small, kind of funny, but we wanted to show its size. NW only offers (1) A/C on these units; we do take the larger 15K A/C's, however. We could install a bedroom A/C, however, being a 30 Amp service unit, you could only run one at a time. Hello!! Yes, you can get an 811 in a short box or long box configuration. The floor plan stays the same, the 2 big differences is getting side boxes on the short box model and a generator. @@outdoorrvspecialist On the right hand side, or the camp/door side of the RV on the sidewall, and that empty space between where the back of the slide is and the tail of the RV is where I was thinking about the possibility of an awning being mounted. That way I can set up barbecues or smokers in that area and not get rained on if it does happen to rain and then a pit I’ll put a picnic table underneath the middle or front awning. Also, maybe possibly an awning over the rear door entrance on the rear wall, covering the door with a small awning if possible????
