Why doing that? Old Scandinavian way is get all log building half meter up from ground. Foundations and first logs has to be isolated from ground moisture. Nowadays using bitumen between rock/concrete foundation and log. This is building knowledge from thousands years back. Jari Koppelo/ Oulu, Finland
