When it comes to ww2 poland has such self deception. Poland hurt themselves for centuries by how they (not just the government but the people, who were more then happy, as mostly ethnic Germans to reopen thier doors to the nazis and do their bidding, even before being asked). Maybe the younger people were lied to be their grandparents and their books but with internet now a days for them not to know better is unforgivable. But fortunately they are finally doing better and they are benefitting from it. They are finally regaining their former strengths in science economy which they willing lost for the past 100 years. Seemingly one of the few countries which benefits from increases immigration. Hopefully it continues well for them and the ones are them.
