I dunno about “failed miserably” - they floundered around as a .500 ish team from 2001-2013 with many years being worse than that. They spent 4 years truly sucking and have been in the playoffs 7 of the last 7 seasons. Win percentage hasn’t dropped beneath 57% once in those years. I think you could argue most of the successes of this current roster didn’t really come from the process, but I think the failures are the same way. Harris over Jimmy was a roster decision, not a process one, for example.
