Sorry Joel but will have to wait and see if they are the best in the country because you should know as well as I do that defence is about depth and especially on the line they don't have the depth or at least they didn't in their bowl game. Honestly you are telling me that of all the 5 star talent they have recruited they could not fine more than 13 guys to play on defence? Defence is depth and yeah their first team is great but who has experience on their second team to make them elite? If you want to be an elite defence then you are playing like 16-18 guys in the rotation. Ohio State just has talent, that doesn't mean anything. If I had $5 for all the talent that young CFB players wasted I would be the richer than King Solomon with all his golden mines.

I guess I don't blame you for not having Texas Tech there. Their roster is in crazy flux. Half of their receivers they have had for the past couple of years transferred out, their offensive line and defensive line is in flux. No Tyree Wilson or Tony Bradford, mainstays of the team for years. Potentially better because of recent top 25 class recruits, but untested.

Michigan is going to be lucky to finish top 25. Two d tackles and an elite corner alone isn't going to get you in the top 10. They lost their entire coaching staff. Entire oline. Starting wrs. Starting qb and rb and half their starters on defense. Not to mention their schedule is brutal. They are losing 4 games.

Michigan fan here...Michigan at #8 is fair. In '21 Michigan win the Big 10 and made the playoff being preseason unranked. In '22 they did the same while barely being top 10 preseason. In short, preseason polls are meaningless. Go Blue!

Not sold on LSU, Lost 3 1st rounders what was 99,99% of their offense and had one of the worst defenses in all of NCAA. Not a top 20 team. Same with TN Vols. To rank Ole Miss over Alabama is mindblowing. Give me 1 (ONE) win from Kiffin against the Elite in the SEC means UGA or Alabama.
