This video leaves a lot of details out. Do the children know what to do if their initial plan for getting home doesn't work? (street shut down, subway out of commission, etc) Do they have a cell phone they can use to call home for help? Are they trained to look both ways before crossing the street every single time, and to generally avoid strangers? Basically, can they take care of themselves the way most adults can? Do they have the knowledge and maturity they need to make a judgement call when something unexpected happens? There are definitely 8-year-olds who could handle this, and frankly, there are teenagers who could not.

Just watched this. Almost a decade later two things are clear. 1. Christine is fear mongering. None of her fears were based on an honest assessment of the situation. 2. At NO time did Christine (nor CBC, for that matter) disclose that this A-hole is the wife of Ric McIver, the long-time conservative/UCP supporter of Alberta’s most dishonest government and the anti-democratic measures taken to reduce democratic voices for Alberta municipalities. I started stretching at 25, stopped at 00g for 10 years before I thought I wanted to downsize my earlobes because of my old jobs until I got my own bakery and that's when I wanted to go bigger. Now I'm at an 1¼" and I love it here, not planning on going bigger and that's a personal choice. This is why I tell young people including my teen daughter, that before they think about stretching their ears, like think about their future and what they want to do in life because most jobs aren't acceptable of body mods. Plus ear reconstruction surgery is expensive, like hundreds of dollars per ear to fix and it's not covered by insurance.

The theory that female person was in transit from one place to another when meeting her demise sounds probable. Metis people from eastern Canada were often having to be forced migrants while travelling further west while trying to find land they could settle on. Further west they had to avoid conflict with some people from the Russian held territories in North Amerca who regarded them as a threat too. Why isn't there more people paying attention to the stories our elders tell us some of whom who were born up to 100 years ago? Like for example when remembering how they lost a parent?
