My hobby is beside mountain biking also 3d-printing. Five years ago I bought the MK3 with 2 Smooth PEI sheets. I upgraded it later to MK3S and ordered 2 Textured sheets. I also bought a Prusa Min+ with Smooth PEI-sheet which I am also not using. Meanwhile I bought some other brands - my last 3d-printer was recently the new A5M Pro. I think about to buy iwinter 2024/25 a new PRUSA MK4-S. The -S includes some improvements as a real input shaper and a Satin Sheet (41€) etc. Since I have already 2 Smooth PEI-sheets, which I never use, I am not willing to buy a MK4 with another Smooth PEI sheet (29€). Nowadays almost all Chinese printers include textured print sheets. It is a shame for Prusa to force the users to buy such an outdated Smooth sheet with a new MK4. Prusa should allow the customers to choose the print sheet for the MK4 - in my case I would be willing to pay the difference (41€ - 29€ =12€) for a Satin print sheet. But for sure - I am not going to waste money for third Smooth print sheet. Josef Prusa try to be more customer friendly.

I know these are old and discontiued, BUT I have one, (The blue style),and would like to restore it, can you provide a parts and or assembly manual. Anything would help. thanks

I luv these videos! I wish more manufacturing companies did stuff like this and as someone that likes 3D printing Prusa has always been one I wanted but was out of my price range but now that I can afford it I don't do FDM prints I have years ago switched to resin.

I have a mk4 and only 6 months old. Not working at all. I have sent the error message number to them on several occasions with no definate response. They have asked for videos of the problem but I do not have video facilities to carry out this procedure. I bought this machine as a hobbiest not as a profession. I am willing to dump the machine and take a loss as I cannot get anywhere or satisfation from this company.

I'll be honest, I started with a cheap creality ender 3v2. Honestly I was able to learn a lot from it and without that I wouldn't have moved onto bigger and better machines. Well now owning a business of my own (no, not a print farming Etsy business) a true LLC. We dived into Bambu Labs. Unfortunately they've come to prove themselves to not be what they cracked up to be and are slowly reveling their true colors which isn't about being innovative or supporting the printing community. I'm proud to say after deep diving into the world of Prusa Research, we're seeking to invest fully into the Prusa XL! It's a long term goal to convert to since there are still lead times but we're committed. After watching this video I couldn't be more proud to invest in such a technical robust company that's truly transparent with the work and development you provide and have provided which has grown 3D printing so much over the years. I was happy to say we utilized Bambu Labs at one point, but now I'm even more proud to say we use Prusa because of what they stand for!. I can't wait for our next step in growth as a start up that specializes in tailoring custom 3D print services here in the PNW as "ProtoSpyre LLC" where everything we do is "Professionally Crafted, Personally Tailored" in which our quality is dedicated "layer by layer". Thank you Prusa Research for developing such great printers and I can't wait to get our hands on a XL!

As an american customer. Please pay attention to your wire coloring. My power cords came black, and black/red. I'm accustome to black being ground, and installed them incorrectly. Your solid color wires will be the V+ and your Split color wires will be V-

I am a university student studying with a minor in CAD amongst other things, in the fall in one of my classes I had to model a 32 tall vertical open column steam engine, when I was finished I liked the look of it and decided to 3d print it on my mk4. The printed steam engine now sits on my shelf and works beautifully

🤔🤔Hey guys, are you reading comments?🤔🤔 I'm 100% sure people would see a huge improvement in quality if they had an ability to adjust the density of the bottom and top SOLID layers. If you could adjust it to 95% instead of 100% there would less plastic "sticking out" above each solid layer, which would result in nicer print quality. I hope you add this to your next update

A mediocre guitar neck costs almost like a full electric guitar (I'm talking cheapest guitars). The truss rod you couldn't print but the rest why not? Truss rod is quite cheap online by the way. You can put two for more strenght. So far this is not a 3D printed guitar this is a 3D printed body replacement for a guitar that doesn't provide an adequate weight balance. Tossing an idea: a comb mesh filled with sand. Basically you'll have same shape just with a bottom side and a separate piece for the cover to capture the sand inside. Also consider making a smaller scale guitar, a lap steel guitar (it might not need a truss rod at all because of the added width).

Better how. The XL produces stunning multi-colour prints; I’ve made many. The MMU is similar to Bambi with AMS. If anything, the XL is better for multi colour prints - much shorter print times and waaay less. Waste produced.

It is cool you think of new ideas, BUT it is not okay when you are behind the market, MK4 is just a disappointment, and the XL well just took way to long. i relay wanted my next printer to be the XL!!! but i was not able to wait for it... and the XL still got a lot of issues, but you waist time on this gimmick..

If you want a fast printer, probably not the MK4, check for yourself in PrusaSliser what the actual BENCHY print is and it's definitely not 20 minutes, for me it's 46 minutes, and besides, it's better to buy a printer in a housing with the latest technologies with core x y .
