I've still got a stereo version of this model in use as my mains on my Mac in my office. Still works great and sounds great. Those tiny speaker pods are pretty amazing for the sound they provide.

If you want something awesome, get a Tektronix/Xerox Phaser solid ink printer (I have an 850). They use tons of power (~1200W) and they don't like being ignored for long periods (the wax oxidizes and can clog the heads), but they print magazine-quality color pages and have network options for multi-user setups. I fought with the Apple-branded StyleWriter versions of these Canons back in the day and it usually wasn't too bad. But it has been a while since I've tried to get one running so who knows if they'd still function? The B&W models had full replaceable print cartridges so blockages disappeared with new carts whereas the color units used those ink tank styles and they could get leaky and unreliable.

I was born in July 99, I grew up in a post unreal world. After watching this and civvie11’s unreal video I finally put the effort in to get a copy and get it running on my windows 10, 3060gpu. Now all I gotta do is git gud 😂😂

The "Mouse Wheel" would be perfect to play games like Pole Position or Hard Drivin on MAME. They expect an endless "dial" steering wheel controller and tend to reset the position during collisions etc., so a PC racing wheel with potentiometer will reach its end and you can''t steer further into that direction.

Man you're making me want to play that again... such a great game. I never had the unlimited version though.

I feel like this could have worked miles better if they had had a few notches in the shaft and included a couple of thin but rigid plastic disks you could place in the notches to limit the length of forward travel that the yoke had to your liking. Probably wouldn't have increased the production costs much, either.

There's more to say about the Unreal Engine or the Monster Hunt servers, or its gaming communities, or was a hub for mod tracker musicians to show off their music skills, that fact military bases had these installed in top secret facilities just to past the time. Remember the story about a naval fleet playing UT submerged in a submarine to past the time? From the music collaboration from Straylight Productions (Alex, Michiel, Dan, Andrew, and others), to the dream team creators like Tim Sweeney and CliffyB, Steve Poige & the gang, this game is a testament in PC gaming history and perhaps solidify its staying power and independence from the console wars. To have been optimized to practically run on any 21st century computer hardware is a declaration of software dominance. UT is love...UT is life... To the Unreal Team and Straylight Productions, and respectively to the UT community for keeping the game consistent with pushing the Unreal engine to its limits...Thank you!
